Something needs to be done about bronze

I think it is unfair to get put into a game with an instant troll bronze should be treated differently than other ranks. Unlike some of the trolls that just play bronze like normals there are people who want to get out and move up. Every player should be awarded with LP differently depending on how good they did or their KDA in my honest opinion solo/duo que needs to be changed riot plz. I got out last season but im back in this season and its harder than before. I want to actually be matched with teamates who want to win as bad as I do.

When a team game starts giving out rank points based on your performance in the match as opposed to everyone gets the same depending on Win or Loss, people start being extremely greedy. They'll abandon you in fights to keep a good KDA, steal every kill and minion they can, and basically make you lose games because they are focused on their personal score and not the objective. Your idea would single handedly ruin ranked LoL.

I understand where your coming from but I was just upset at the time because a few games ive been dealing with intentionally feeding and when your in bronze its kinda hard to fight back against a fed riven or anyone really fed. Then your team just FFs. Uncontrollable I just want a better way to sort out the trolls and people who should be playing normals instead of ranked. The fight out of bronze is ridiculously hard and I will continue to try. Thank you for your input buddy

Why does everyone bring this up when they try to argue about personal stats for climbing? Kills do not win games, and they are not that important in the long run. Games with a 20 kill difference can still be won by either side.

There are so many different factors. CS, damage done to towers, damage taken by the enemy team and dealt, healing done to other teammates, shields, wards placed down (really wish people emphasized this one), damage done to dragon/Baron, and so on. Why is KDA the most important stat in the game? ANd even if something did calculate all that, there's human factors to consider that can't be calculated.

Look, to be fair, I'll give my opinion on a possible system you could nitpick as well. After each game, people could vote for the MVP (notice I didn't say "who carried") and LP would be adjusted for each vote you get. Overall LP gains might have to be lowered to prevent rank inflation, but it could serve as an incentive for people to try their damn well best.

Yeah im sorry about that KDA suggestion i understand thats an unfair thing to do but I just dealt with a person going 0-11 going to every single lane just because they didnt get the role they wanted games are averagely 30-40 minutes long and its just sad to see someone ruin your time that you used trying to win. Then the enemy team happy that they won are just trolls and say no dont report them. Its just frustrating that you cant do anything about players mindsets and their decisions. But ya know gamer probs >.<

I know im not a pro and its kinda hard to do that well at my level of playing, I do everything i can to help even if i play a role im not good at but there are still 4 other players who could completely be different and not have that devotion to win. 1 person vs 5 just saying that doesnt make sense. I had a diamond 3 even struggle in helping me out of bronze cause of uncontrollable problems afks, trolls, toxicity. I just wish that didnt affect how your LP would be affected.

I have gotten out of bronze like three times, come on man, you need to find your mistakes and fix them and capitalize on the lack of skill of your opponents.

I know where i mess up sometimes like getting greedy at etc. Im gonna get out its just gonna take alot more willpower to do it this season. I watch pros play and try to implement some of their strategies but im just gonna keep grinding and try to spot those bronze mistakes that my opponents too and I do.

I could probably carry my way out of bronze while maintaining a KDA average of like, 1/5/1, unless you fucks start feeding me then the whole things ruined.

Have you heard about the petitions for an iron league to break up the roughly 32% of the community that's bronze? It could be what you're looking for. There's plenty of threads of it going around and it seems pretty popular.

I do think that sometimes you get players in an awkward position like myself that are bad, sure, but they're not so bad that they belong in the bottom of the barrel, bronze 5. I get stuck with players that make decisions so stupid that I have to wonder what they were thinking and how they got to level 30 without learning that you don't do things like that...

How about 5/10/3 master yi trying to solo baron and decide to not run away in time. He dies to it, the enemy team gets baron, when we can't contest due to no smite, and the enemy wins the game off of that single idiotic move.

Maybe instead have bronze LP based on the "Champion Mastery" metric Riot is developing. If it works, it should be a good way to determine a player's skill.

A lot better than KDA ratios by any means.

There's not really anything Riot can do about this. How Bronze players (stereotypically) behave is up to the players to change, it can't be forced.
