Something needs to be done about bronze

I think it is unfair to get put into a game with an instant troll bronze should be treated differently than other ranks. Unlike some of the trolls that just play bronze like normals there are people who want to get out and move up. Every player should be awarded with LP differently depending on how good they did or their KDA in my honest opinion solo/duo que needs to be changed riot plz. I got out last season but im back in this season and its harder than before. I want to actually be matched with teamates who want to win as bad as I do.

When a team game starts giving out rank points based on your performance in the match as opposed to everyone gets the same depending on Win or Loss, people start being extremely greedy. They'll abandon you in fights to keep a good KDA, steal every kill and minion they can, and basically make you lose games because they are focused on their personal score and not the objective. Your idea would single handedly ruin ranked LoL.

Why does everyone bring this up when they try to argue about personal stats for climbing? Kills do not win games, and they are not that important in the long run. Games with a 20 kill difference can still be won by either side.

There are so many different factors. CS, damage done to towers, damage taken by the enemy team and dealt, healing done to other teammates, shields, wards placed down (really wish people emphasized this one), damage done to dragon/Baron, and so on. Why is KDA the most important stat in the game? ANd even if something did calculate all that, there's human factors to consider that can't be calculated.

Look, to be fair, I'll give my opinion on a possible system you could nitpick as well. After each game, people could vote for the MVP (notice I didn't say "who carried") and LP would be adjusted for each vote you get. Overall LP gains might have to be lowered to prevent rank inflation, but it could serve as an incentive for people to try their damn well best.

I could probably carry my way out of bronze while maintaining a KDA average of like, 1/5/1, unless you fucks start feeding me then the whole things ruined.

Have you heard about the petitions for an iron league to break up the roughly 32% of the community that's bronze? It could be what you're looking for. There's plenty of threads of it going around and it seems pretty popular.

I do think that sometimes you get players in an awkward position like myself that are bad, sure, but they're not so bad that they belong in the bottom of the barrel, bronze 5. I get stuck with players that make decisions so stupid that I have to wonder what they were thinking and how they got to level 30 without learning that you don't do things like that...

Maybe instead have bronze LP based on the "Champion Mastery" metric Riot is developing. If it works, it should be a good way to determine a player's skill.

A lot better than KDA ratios by any means.

There's not really anything Riot can do about this. How Bronze players (stereotypically) behave is up to the players to change, it can't be forced.
