Ideas of new iterations for Akali's W

The most frustrating part of playing against Akali is probably because of the safety her W provides. She can do whatever she wants while on it. I thought of a new iteration for testing could be:

Twilight Shroud (W): Akali restores energy and detonates a smoke bomb in the target direction, creating a circular shroud that expands over the next 5 seconds. Akali is INVISIBLE and can't use her basic abilities while in the shroud, but is able to quickly dash up to 3 times within it. Enemy champions are NEARSIGHTED while in the shroud.

More tooltips: Akali can use again her basic abilities 0,5 s after leaving the shroud.

I feel like your iteration of her shroud would basically leave her defenceless when shes low especially against champs wit a lot of aoe, say like anivia or brand. If she cant use her abilities she pretty much consigns herself to when she or both her and her apponent are low instead of being able to actually fight with the restored energy.

what about something to amplify her auto attacks like a AOE basic attack while in shroud but make her damage have reduced damage output therefore shes trading some power for some utility/aoe.

What about some reduction to her damages when she is in her shroud?

this would just completely destroy her. I think you don't understand what the point of her shroud is if you want to lock her out of her abilities while in it
