You can leave the lane, but never going back there is not right at least go there to pick up the wave that's crashing on the tower. Especially in draft pick. If you wanna take a holistic approach, just go blind-pick.
I agree with you. You should play the game for fun. I usually do this aswell because I don't want to die to my enemy non-stop and that makes the game no fun
