Inhibitor vs inhibitor tower

So in last game we were in the following situation: mid inhib down, top inhib tower gone and a guy pushing inhib bot tower. At the same time a huge minion wave that has been stacking is hitting top inhib (it would take them about 10 seconds to take it). My question is, if I just spawned, should i priorize defending bot inhibitor tower, sacrificing top inhib to the minions or defend inhib, sacrificing bot tower to their adc.

I should probably add that the mid inhib had been taken not too long ago, so it still had a long while to respawn.

sounds pretty gg either way.
If you think defending bot has a good chance for a kill i would go bot since the late game death timer on an adc gives your team needed time and you might win a 5v4 before the adc gets back. The homguards passive might make it very possible to kill the ADC if you are the right champ/not to behind.
If you cant fight the ADC then you need to look at your teams re-spawn timers. If they are to long the ADC will get a free inhib and tower (since you cant fight without a tower up) so you should defend bot. If the team is up in time to stop the adc from getting inhib you could go top and then you will only have 1 down inhib. You must win the next fight or 2 though!

basically this guy hit it on the head.

In that situation because their adc was solo at bot lane assuming you could kill him going bot to defend the tower and kill their adc. Other wise going top would of been better.

depending on whos down is really the question if you have no one left to defend and the minions look like theyre gonna take it. leave it alone and let the Winions do the work and save your inhib turret.

Ok so I should go into a little bit more detail then, basically what i want to know is what is generally worth saving more, an inhibitor tower, or the second inhibitor to go down. I may have been able to kill their adc after respawn, but it was risky, but i went there and stopped him from taking tower (the respawn on my allies was like 10-15, and the enemies same except 1 who was doing drag at that moment). So after this one of my friends told me that i screwed up, that i should always go to the inhibitor rather than inhib tower. Mind you that this is Gold V, so very few people rush towers, and an inhib tower in this elo can efficiently stall/stop a group of 4 ppl . My thought was that since we already had an inhib down, and had to play safe, better defend the tower, and then wait for both inhibs to respawn, and im still not sure who was right. Btw we won in the end!

PS: a slightly different question, what situation do u consider less favorable: having 1 lane without inhibitor and tower, but the other two with both inhibs and inhib tower OR having 3 inhibs without the inhib towers?
