Why no ER/Manamune rushed on some ADCs?

Some ADCs can blow through their mana pool in 1-2 rotations if they spam. I realize that an essence reaver doesn't give the same damage boost as an IE, but why not rush it as a second or third item? I hardly see any one do it or even pros so is there some reason why?

For example on corki.. missed out on quite a few kills or just couldn't go all in because of mana issue. I went Triforce>mpen boots>botrk. Didn't get any further than that before we won. But I'm thinking of going with essence reaver either immediately after tri or possibly even first. Maybe manamune is better on corki since he can get the tear built up quickly.

Yea or nay?

Manamune Corki would be a thing if he had more single target physical damage spells. Unfortunately all his stuff deals magic damage.

Because ADCs have high MP5 per level so mana costs only matter in the early game for most.

the two items it builds from are vamp scepter / BF sword, If you go back first time and have enough for a BF. Its a much better option to build an IE / BT rather than a ER because of the value and usefulness of the item.

If you go back first time and dont have enough for BF sword what do you buy? vamp scepter? Do you want to lose lane? sure, okay then by all means go ahead! build something that gives 10ad and 8% lifesteal for 800~ gold ( i cant remember)

These are the two scenarios you run into when prompted to build an ER.

Mid / late game, ER stats are decent, but still nothing compared to a LW or a PD or an IE! Sure the 10% cdr is great and sure, it has lifesteal! but really, do you value those two stats over MS / Crit / AD / ad pen?

Corki really excels mid game with triforce-sorcs. Not only is his damage good in fights, but he can siege turrets really well too. Getting a tear would make his laning phase weak, resulting in a weaker mid game. I would only get tear if you are playing him mid lane.

same reason bt first item is troll on every adc but draven and kalista. i would love to see som ie ph rush kalista do i think its actually stronger then bt runnan

I'm not a fan of manamune on anyone who doesn't scale on mana. An exception is EZ and I think that's because there aren't any other early mana items he can get besides a tear.
