How come there's so many "bots" in Dominion blind pick?

I've just started to play again after a couple of years hiatus and I'm stunned by how many bots there are in a blind pick Dominion game. The last game I played just now there was only 1 actual player beside me, the other 8 were all those "bots"... the ones with all the random letters in their names, all have the same icon, and all play like crap. I don't really understand, are they bots in the sense that random people are botting to "cheat" or are they put in there on purpose by the game?

What happened to League while I was gone? o.O

Riot doesn't care about Dominion. If they did, that game mode wouldn't be filled with bots.

Oh. What's the game mode they "care" about, then? Which game mode are most people playing? When I left, it was Dominion haha

Summoner's Rift.

Riot has basically neglected the other maps to death with the arguable exception of Murderbridge.

Dominion and TT still have communities, you just need to play 10ish games to get out of bot ELO to find them.

Which of course drives people away. Not that Riot cares.

SR is all the rage now. That map gets all the attention because of the LCS. Dominion has no competitive/ranked mode, so it doesn't get a lot of attention.

Which reminds me. Are we going to get Dynamic Q on any other map? I can't imagine it would be to incredibly hard to implement this on another map.

Well, the Dominion community is still pretty pissed that Riot totally deleted our community board.

I can't imagine a more explicit 'fuck you guys' than that.

To answer your main question, tho, it's full of bots because you are level 20. Bots are generally all pre-30, leveling accounts to sell to people. They play Dominon because it is time-efficient in terms of EXP and IP gained.

The real question is why does Riot continue to allow bots to run rampant selling accounts.
