just had a game with championship riven and for some reason every time i used my stun on rengar it done nothing he just keept attacking like nothing happened

you were riven or rengar? if you were rengar, then your E-bola isn't a stun, it's a root, meaning riven can still attack you. If you were Riven, then it must have been some bug or glitch.
