Why do people desperatly want an Ashe rework?

I've gone back to playing Ashe after wanting to play my OG adc and i have to say, she's really fucking good if played right. I just build Statik Shiv first which allows me to abuse my passive hella hard early,win lane and proceed to destroy the rest of the map. I see other people who play Ashe rush IE but rushing Shiv before IE is so damn good it's insane. Is it just she's "boring"? Or just no one knows how to build/play her correctly? I find her way more fun than Kalista or whatver bullshit ADC there is out there.

Have you seen her rework? It's freaking beautiful. I don't care if you don't think she needs a rework, you're being handed a better-designed Ashe.

They cleaned up her kit. In exchange for the gold gain passive and the crit passive, she basically gained a steroid and two damage multipliers that both scale with Crit. By the way, she always gets Crits on targets affected by her Frost passive now. It's modified damage to scale with her Crit Chance and Crit Damage, but even without any Crit modifiers, it still increases the damage dealt.

A passive with shiv that can do close to 400 damage early with one auto attack is bad? her q is amazing for that perma slow and her ult is godlike if hit.

Because her passive is so bad. It's never up in fights, and will only be a single crit to the first target that you might waste on a minion or anything. Lategame when you have IE and PD, the first crit of the fight won't matter.

Her permaslow, sure. Nunu does that better.

Her ultimate is only good if you send it across the map, but the rest of the time it's just a 1 sec stun with some damage.

Her new passive is her q that stacks and doesn't drain mama. Her current passive is a one time thing that doesn't actually do much I'm a team fight. Maybe one target will die the rest will not take enough to finish off Her rework already proves to have better item set as well

Her passive is useless on an ADC because during laning phase where it would theoretically help the most, it doesn't because you can never stack / build it up because of the constant CS'ing...

Her Q was so boring they moved it to her passive (which is awesome!) and her W E R and very stale abilities, granted that they are great and all, They're boring and you can only use E to scout unwarded areas for a few seconds extra of vision.

An ult that is amazing for engage, perma slow and a passive that can kick out any ADC out of lane with shiv. Unless we go back to assassin meta, she's amazing.

A lot of the people that called Ashe bad were doing so in the Assassin meta- She wasn't horrible in that meta, but she does much better in this one. No ADC main is really saying she's bad anymore.

Boringness was always an issue though. She doesn't have much to play with. I think her passive+Q changes look really interesting, way more than the current iteration, and I can't wait to get my hands on her.

Assassin meta she was bad i give you that and that's what I thought as well. Now she's pretty good but I just don't like Riot's reworks at times because they can suck out the fun or amazing damage of the champions they do them on (karma being the first one that comes to mind).

She needs a rework. She is boring to play and in imo is very outclassed by most other adcs Her passive is crap in team fights

She's only outclassed to to her having no dashes but she still does well and can outclass other ADC's easily if she gets just a little bit ahead. Her passive doesn't do much in team fights but the rest of her kit make up for it if she isn't super far behind.

She's much better than people think. She doesn't need a rework, but her kit is dull. Effective at what it does, but dull.

Also, it's too late to discuss whether or not she needs a rework. It's already on PBE. And judging by how you seem to play her, you'll like the rework.

Didn't even know about the rework till it came out on PBE so I couldn't even make the discussion ahead of time. She isn't too dull imo since the ult is awesome and kiting with her is fun.

Admittedly Ashe was my first main champ and I never really thought she needed too much changes, all I ever thought she needed was a change to her E but aside from that I was ok with her (well admittedly her passive needed work too). Now with her rework in the PBE I'm not just glad but now I'm excited for when she is available to the public. I love how she is gonna be but I won't forget how she used to be. Ashe will always be an amazing ADC in my eyes (hell I've seen someone jungle as Ashe and carry our team that way).

I really like Ashe as a champion, but her kit was overall not very effective. Unless the lane you're playing against is incredibly incompetent, then you will get destroyed. She doesn't have any real damage spike with items, no steroids to boost her during and after the laning phase, and she only has one damaging spell besides her ultimate. Corki and Ezreal get a spike with Sheen into Trinity Force, Graves gets a huge spike with BF sword alone as does Lucian, Caitlyn's IE combined with her obscene range make her a bear to deal with, and Vayne gets a huge boost with Blade of the Ruined King. Ashe has utility, but lacks anything real to back it up. If she gets fed, then like any other ADC, she will steamroll; that fact doesn't change anything. She was a decent ADC, and with the right team comp she could be good, but she wasn't pro level material. This rework was badly needed, and I hope that this rework will put her in a better place.
