BUff for bard?

I have been playing bard for quite a long time and i have to say that he is one of my favorite supports to play, yet not a single adc really wants a bard support. I find that i agree with the fact that bard is very weak compared to just about every other support honestly, its very tricky to get his stuns off at times and if he somehow manages to pull off a god like stun he gets no extra reward for the tons of extra work. I feel likebard needs a major buff to at least one aspect of his game play. His Q feels unrewarding and his W feels weak, His E is only impacting when at certain times (even though its preftecly fine i could use some tweaking) and his ult can go either very well for you team, screw the fight up or do nothing but slow things down. And to good bard players (and I'm talking about fantastic bard players) can only match up to par at the most with other supports that are doing just decent at that champion. I feel like with the new season coming up it will be a perfect time to throw bard a bown for all his hard work.

His heal is pretty shit if you don't build AP (which you usually don't), but the rest of his kit is really good. He doesn't really need any buffs imo.

I don't know about you but as your name suggests I think you would rather pick nami over him :P If a champion is never picked in ranked it might be time for a buff don't you agree a little with that?

Bard just has a bad reputation due to bad players;

  • They leave lane to get chimes when the ADC needs him there
  • They screw up the ult trying to get a perfect one
  • They think his heal is the main part of his kit

Anyone that gets familiar with him knows he's actually really good;

  • His harass is really great due to his Meeps
  • You don't have to make the "perfect" Ult. Just do a good one.
  • Pick up chimes on your way to other objectives rather than abandoning your ADC to a 1v2

If I wasn't intent on using Nami only in Ranked, then Bard could be one of my main supports. In Normals, my current goal is to hit mastery 5 on Soraka (really close), then I can work on another one and it may be Bard.

I show Bard a lot of respect in lane. He's not a joke unless the player sucks (it's not the champion).

A bad rep from adc means less likely to play there best, and it causes more stress. I do all of that, and never leave lane until i need to. Just a mechanical aspect needs to be changed to show more of a impact or more reward. nothing big, i can make plays with bard fairly well not the best of course but as a support main i feel like he is lacking something. not sure what it is and it might just be partly flavor or clarity.

Your ADC is the one with the problem if he's stressing about his support not being considered top tier.

I agree but it still has effect, and your job is to make the adc comfortable not make it hard on him. I wish it did not have to be like that but you should know as a fellow support main that adc comes first

Show them they have nothing to worry about by playing well. You're going to have a shitty time if you're picking something you don't want to just to appease other people.

W scales with chimes collected?

It's a good Idea to reward him for it but it might make people leave the adc more often than he is supposed to

I doubt it'd encourage that anymore than a slow on meep hit at 5 chimes does.

If Bard gets buffed, then he will get picked in competitive.

After that, one of two things will happen. A. Bard gets nerfed. B. Solo queqe is ruined for a week by horrible Bards.
