As someone who plays 1-2 games a day, being a top lane player.
Having to play a melee fighter or tank into things like Pantheon, Kennen, Jayce, Gnar, Teemo, Quinn, etc just makes me not want to play at all. It's legit a "You can't play until 10 minutes" because they just constantly auto attack you from 550 range, and when you try to collapse on them, they either stun you, dash away, or knock you back.
On the oncoming rareness that I don't get placed against top lane ranged nonsense, it doesn't even matter because top lane is so useless right now, that the only champion that can even carry right now is Jax, anything else is just "meh, why bother". Any high elo player in Korea like Dopa literally states that if you want to climb, stay away from top lane. It's utterly useless and his been indirectly nerfed because other lanes were abusing teleport.
On a real note though, I don't like playing Aatrox and having Pantheon Q me out of lane level 1, even when I have Dorans shield and second wind. I also don't like trying to go in, when in return he just click and point stuns me, blocks my auto and Q's me again from ranged. That is really not fun to play.
