First Win of the Day - Bad Mechanic - Preseason 8

Today I want to talk about the "First Win of the Day" mechanic. Up until preseason 8, I didn't really care since I had plenty of IP and nothing to use it for. I actually stopped even noticing that I was granted FWOTD.
But now that preseason 8 is out, IP has been converted into blue essence and experience is suddenly what drives both your level, but also in a way acts as your currency, I feel the FWOTD mechanic needs a change. There are just so many scenarios where it is not rewarding people correctly. Just to mention a few;

People who are not able to play at the same hour each day, will not be rewarded. So if I on one day is first able to play at 9-11PM, but the day after at 3-5PM, there is no reward, even if I win three games in a row.

Last night I was also playing with my friend from 4-7PM, we won 4 games in that time, but no FWOTD. Then later I played again when the mission was actually available, lost the first game, won the second. The result; I was super annoyed at my team both games because I needed this win and I actually should be sleeping at those hours.
To recap, I would love for Riot to give us an explanation of why it is as it is. The reward of 575XP is A LOT! it is 3 victories worth of XP, 1/5 of the required XP to level.
Now that I have taken my time to write this, I hope you guys will comment and that Riot will try to be more open about this. I can't see why the "reset" can't be at 12 PM, please enlighten me Riot.
