Playing Ranked and My Main Role

Traditionally I like playing top for ranked. As games go on I realize I like playing burst champions that deal good damage. Seeing as tanky top laners for the most part are vital for team success I want to try and transition lanes. Specifically mid. What champs should I pick up? Any tips? I also realize my cs has been terrible lately but that is probably due to lack of play throughout this past week and various distractions irl. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated

Volibear top, I play it, and it's broken. As long as you can get fiora, jax or trynd banned, you're in great shape. No one can outrade you. If you have a tough lane, just roam mid or bot, get some kills and tp top to save tower. Ez game ez lyfe

transferring from top suggests you may want to try champions that can perform in both top and mid lanes, Jayce Akali Vladimir Kennen for example.

also, playing tankier mid laners would probably help make you more comfortable with the role, so anyone that tends to start item 3027 and/or build item 3116 is a good option.

For mid I recommend Velcoz. He's super fun to play, great waveclear once you get a few itrms.

For masteries I go for DFT as keystone, runes I go for magic pen reds, armor yellows, CDR blues, 1 CDR quint and 2 movement speed quints.

Out of the laners I went up against as velcoz I remember syndra giving me a tough time. I went upgainst a fizz yesterday, pretty easy. I tried to bait out his trickster with my E and use my W to where he would land.

I also play Shen mid. It does work, however your first item should be your counter build item then start trading.

If you see an enemy pick Zed, and not sure who to pick go with Shen. It's too easy. The first items I get is cinder into sunfire and raptors cloak into zzrot portal, it makes dodging skillahots easier.

Then again I don't play ranked, so my advice could be useless, but I've had these 2 work well for me.

Good luck
