Lock sceen player assistance

So I would like to get everyone's opinion on this idea I had. When Riot developed Jihn and his ult they opened up the possible ability for better game play for those of us who haven't been able to play without an unlocked screen. The wide view of the map when he ults I believe can be translated to other champ ults like Xerath (i think they tried with him but you don't get the wide view of his full range). For other champs with ults that are instant cast with long range, a hot key could be added that widens your view while held so ults or other long range abilities can be cast I.E. Caitlyn, Galio, Lux and Jihn W. I understand this could also be a very powerful tool in competitive play giving early warning for ganks and such.
