Purchasable Runes w/ Champion Essence?

I mean, I don't see why not and I would like to see runes being more readily available. I mean, if they're coming out w/ a sandbox, why not implement a much smoother way to gather the runes you want to experiment with. I've found them pretty costly, especially as someone who doesn't grind for IP points . And even then, once I have the IP, being the person I am, I like getting champions to widen my range of picks (I'd say I'm versatile at this point. Except w/ Assassins) So I mean, why not have a price drop or a new way to buy? Then again, I'm a filthy casual so please tell what y'all think. I'd really enjoy the input.
