How to carry in the Gold league?

The Gold league I would say is filled with inconsistency. Games are filled with players who perform good and bad. For example, a Jungler I recently played with was performing great: took objectives, warded , and ganked. The next game, objectives were taken by the other team, he was behind and never ganked. In addition, this relates to myself because in the bot lane I tend to do well in the late game more so than the early game. Sometimes I perform well in both and sometimes I do horribly and can't help my team. I want to know what I can do to maintain a good consistency throughout the game. I want to implement shot calling in my gameplay and organize my team, since my mechanics are decent for this league. Can anyone give me some tips on shot calling and not basic strategies like going baron after an ace, that's obvious. If I can organize my team, I think I can get to plat sooner.
