Shyvana was kind of mediocre, but she didn't feed and could have been carried. Syndra though, did absolutely horrid and constantly flamed us because she was getting camped by the Lee Sin. Then mid game rolled around and Swain began to 1v5. Why does this champion even exist?

I was the Draven. That item would have been silly to build. And when I suggested that to Swain, she called me a stupid noob and kept feeding. To the people who said I should have ignited him, I had heal, not ignite.

Katarina is annoying, but she is easily countered with CC. Swain doesn't give a shit when he get's CC'd, he'll just throw his nevermore under himself or to whoever he wants, and then press R, QWE, Zhonyas and win the game.

He had 50 Armour, and we weren't under leveled, he was just fed. And considering he was tanky, there is no reason he should be able to such a ludicrous amount of damage, just by hitting R and face rolling QWE while his R was activated.

50 armor is still like 40% physical mitigation.. (which I'm guessing you're under-cutting his actual armor)
Your sustained-damage, melee champs/adc are not going to deal the burst of damage needed to kill swain.
I'm guessing you fought him during his huge mid-game power spike and got rolled. Don't know what you can really expect.
Learn what a champion is capable of and don't expect that running at them using all of your abilities will guarantee a win.

Stopped reading there. Swain will never finish a teamfight with full mana, hell he never finishes with half left 90% of the time.

You're right, he walked out with about 3/4 of his max mana. Rod of ages is a broken item.
