Nasus Siphoning Strike issue.

We all know Nasus is top tier right now and even back in season 3 where riot has tried to nerf them and I thank them for that greatly. However I don't believe that they had nerfed him correctly to make Nasus a balance champion. Yes the nerf on his wither was much needed but a nerf on the Siphoning Strike would be much needed. How would it be done? Well I think for the more stacks the more Siphoning strike would be on cool down for longer. I think this is a reasonable solution but everyone else please do correct me if you believe I am wrong.

Keep in mind this is my opinion, I would love to share some thoughts upon other subjects and I would love to see you guys reply. Thanks summoners for reading and help the solo queue improve, thanks again and have a nice day. -Cenfer

Nasus is a free win above silver if you play against him.

You lost me at "we all know nasus is top tier right now"

You've sort of got a point. But increasing its CD isn't the way to go about it.

Maybe if it got changed to a finisher-type spell. Nasus right now can solo several members of the team and still get a decent amount of kills because he just drain-tanks until the closest squishy is dead. If he instead has to rely on his team to whittle people down before he can get to decimating with his strikes, he becomes more like a tank and less of a lumbering assassin.

But that would take away Tower bopping, and no one wants that (I'm serious), hmmm...

Top tier? In what elo? If you let him free farm he starts to scale but other then that he does nothing for the first 20+ minutes.

The only thing I can think of is making him unable to use it on towers, but that would cause a controversy.

Someone building full-tank should not two-shot towers, that's the adc's role along with sustained damage in fights.

But hey what do I know? I'll just get downvoted to oblivion for sharing an opinion. I'm not on the balance team, I don't know shit.

It's not actually an issue. And punishing players for playing well is not Riot's philosophy.

LOL. Teamfight meta and he is a tank with no initiations or hard cc, the only reason people have to focus him is if he gets stacks up because otherwise he will one-shot squishies.

How to beat him: Freeze lane mid and zone him. DO NOT shove lane, otherwise he will stack under tower and you will be vulnerable to ganks. Wither + gank = you ARE dead.

If you can't outright kill him in lane, roam and gank other lanes and put pressure on mid/bot/dragon, but do not leave him alone in lane for too long.

Most Nasus players (me included) couldn't care less about their team, so they will keep stacking even if they know you are walking towards dragon. Then their team starts raging at Nasus for not helping in teamfights, and he ignores them because he has a policy of getting 1000 stacks before he starts teamfighting. If you can't win 5v4 teamfight's then it's not that Nasus is OP, it's that someone on his team is fed and is able to stall while he stacks up.

so a late game champion is doing well in the late game? who knew! next you will tell me that the sky is blue and that pigs can't fly

So you have a choice, pressure nasus and make him useless, effectively leaving the team in a 4v5 constantly. Bully Nasus so hard that the team might as well be 4v5 because their tank will always die (AKA Nasus). Or be bad, let him free farm, then complain about him late game because you didn't do something that is required in any other lane matchup to begin with.

It needs to have reduced effect on towers. Thats it. Noone should be able to 1v1 the enemy base, no matter how weak their early is.

when facing nasus your need to keep him just around 100 stacks per 10 min for him not to be an issue late game. this is possible to do but hard becuase it means you need to freeze the lane under your own other so she cant CS (which if this was easy to do everyone would do it in every lane). or you need to play agressive and keep him away form minions.

the thing is he has a pretty decent heal from the life leech of his passive is playing agreesive is hard to do. and if his jungler decides to camp top there really isn't anything in the world you can do to stop him from farming.

i honestly play the one of the few champ that is really good vs nasus top, so i think im safe in assuming that if i sometimes have trouble with him even as his counter he can be an issue.

all that being said.. i RARELY top anymore since the AD nerfs to nidalee attack speed and damage. so i am open to any comments who can provide more data on how to beat him

or maybe heres a thought, make it So his STACKS CAN BE LOST ON DEATH LIKE VERY OTHER CHAMP that has them. Draven Chogath
