Vote dodge!!!!!!!!!

Listen we all have had the unpleasant experience of being in a ranked champ select with a toxic troll we know is going to be awful for the game. This is such a downer on a otherwise good time! I think there should be a button to "vote dodge" If at least 4 people hit that button, you can get out of game and no penalty. That way you can avoid dropping like a stone in ranked for trolls

I don't want to give people yet another reason to hate their team before the game even starts. Just imagine: "Oh, I got counterpicked? TIme to start a vote dodge! My team wants to play the game anyway? Fuck this team, I'm afk." Or: "Enemy team got Kat GG, vote dodge or I afk."

Yeah but it wont happen because its abusable.

This is very exploitable. Just like every other suggestion I've seen.

The problem with your function OP, is that eventually that option will affect the collective conscious of the playerbase and dodging will become a door for more problems than the a solution.

We do need a way to fix that problem but this method is obviously abusable.

At a competitive level, this just isn't fair to the team who makes a better team comp or gets the champs they want. You also of course have to 0 penalty for the toxic players so someone can easily just spend an afternoon trolling people and ruining champ selects without ever having to play the game. Something that I did think was a good idea once upon a time as well was being able to all 4 vote on kicking a player in champ select and picking another one. This has the issue where if you have a bad match history or want to play something off meta you would get punished for it. (Because what's the point in kicking if riot doesn't treat it like a report?) Also at high levels of play, where players recognize each other, you could just kick players you don't like playing with and force them to wait out another long queue time to play the game. And of this is a pattern it could be impossible to find a game.

Vote dodge is a bad idea. Sure, it would be nice to kick obviously toxic people in champ select, but what would more likely happen is a player picks Poppy/Urgot/insert unpopular champion, gets called a troll and a vote dodge is called, or the enemy team picked better champs, so a vote dodge gets called to avoid the bad match-up. Not to mention, trolling would get worse, since they have a high chance of getting the queue dropped for free as long as they act insufferable. You might not have been around when ranked dodging had no penalties except time, but my god the trolling was awful then. Also, make a more biased poll next time.

That poll is a bit of a loaded Q&A. Who's gonna say they hate losing? And some games have people who are legit and choosing a off the meta champ and do very well, but the team calls them trolls in lobby and the like because they are uncomfortable with those kinds of players. So, you would miss out on a really good game just because your scared of an off the meta pick instead of giving them the chance to prove themselves.

I mean it's only trolling if he dies a lot. But when some one says pref so and so lane and then get a lane they don't use ever and tell you this when the match is about to start . that's why this game needs a vote to dodge

ImThatJGuy4/8/2015, 4:01:00 PM1 votes

No, I love losing.

I pushed no, because there is no "balanced" way to justify a dodge vote. You said "if at least 4 people hit that button" Well, what about duo queues? What will you do then? You can't change it to 3 because what if two people think it's fine, two people don't want this, and then the last person is AFK looking at... I dunno, hentai or something? Or, what DarthLeon said? Anything with any sort of voting is bound to be unfair at some point, which really just does not fix the problem. It's the same thing with the surrender mechanic. It's just really...you know. Exploitable.
