Actually, I like this idea, damage alone sometimes doesn't tell the full tale of how you died.

Death Recap is supposed to tell you how you died so that you can counterplay/counterbuild. Damage type and source matters since that determines whether you should get armor, MR, or health, and who to focus in teamfights.

I don't know if CC source will help much. If you get CC'd a lot... buy Tenacity, I guess? Only two items item 3172 and item 3111 provide that passive, so it's not like you can get more tenacity when you get CC'd a lot in a teamfight. You should also not focus on the source of CC since that's gonna be the tanks. So basically, showing how much CC you received serves no purpose other than showing you how you died, but not what you can do to avoid dying again.

I have to respectfully disagree. More knowledge can only help you so long as you comprehend it, and people can easily comprehend that Lux's Q and E root and slow you for x time and y percentage. Also, sometimes building tenacity is not an option, in the case of someone like Syndra, are you really going to sacrifice your burst potential for a bit of AD or MR in addition to tenacity, which wouldn't help you much since in the time that you are cc'ed, you would likely die in the span of two seconds? The idea would be that knowing what cc you were under might help you know which member of the enemy team is causing the most difficulty in making your plays, especially for those inexperienced players who are still learning the game and have trouble keeping up to date on every bit of cc in the game.

Yes, you are expected as you get better to learn the ins and outs of every champion, but why not help them out before they reach that level?

I feel that it should be there for the same reason the death recap tells you how long it took you to die. Does it change how you build? No. How you interact with the enemy? Probably not. At the same time, you know how much of the fight you could have been doing something as opposed to not. And while that might not be the most useful data, you get a clearer picture of how the fight went, especially in fights where everyone is so close together you have a harder time telling what went on. For me, it's information that's good to know, though not quite necessary to know.
