Lee Sin Support?

Ok, so last game I had a Lee Sin support. We got destroyed in lane by Varus and Sona. Reasons why lee sin support is useless: Q does no dmg unless you go in, and you basically lose the trade if you go that far in. No CC until 6, you are gold starved therefore AD isnt gonna be readily available. My Lee Sin, was a tterrible Lee Sin player cuz he was in BRONZE. Now, normally idc who supports me, because i like to think i'm a good enough AD carry to avoid stupid deaths, but pls for the love of all things on earth, just pick Thresh, Janna, Blitz, Nami, literally anyone else that can actually support. I hate the people who play this game sometimes.

Lee isn't a good traditional support. He is "okay" if "you don't really want to support but I'm going to pick w/e I feel like" it is just you basically need to all in at the same time.

He can, but can only be effective as one in a select few matchups. He gets screwed over against poke lanes like that Varus / Sona you mentioned.

Typically he is more of a "Kill lane" support. Basically instead of taking a traditional support, bring a fighter instead to farm those kills. But the problem is if you get behind. You and your AD carry will suck the rest of the game.

Its a very high risk thing to try, but if pulled off perfectly. Its great.

Also I would recomend only doingt his if your AD carry has some form of self peel since they are less support reliant later on.
