Can a Rioter tell me why this is dumb?

Okay we've a lot of people complaining about Dynamic and you gotta admit that they have a point. Dynamic doesn't test your skill like before did the solo-duoq and for some players it can be the difference between having fun at the game and be on the way to give up on it. Let's assume that people disliking dynamic are less than those who are enjoying it, this to admit that probably from your POV dynamic is still a success, you still promised us soloq. Obviusly soloq can't happen because the waiting time will be too long...unless you use the old system where you couldn't choose your role. Not having to choose a role will make the population needed for a solo q way smaller and, as well, will satisfy all those tryhards looking for personal recognition ( like me). Now i don't know if other people feel like me but I liked to don't be able to chose the role to pick, ranking up was more a matter to be an all around good player and not just a OTP (even if i'm a rengo lover). Now either you think this is a shitty idea or not I would like to know why it's impractical to realize (if it is). This looks like a good compromise allowing a smaller population of a certain kind of players to don't die in the boring world of dynamic (boring for us). Thank you for your time and i would really love if a rioter would answer me even just to tell me this is a stupid idea xD

The role selector has nothing to do with the potential queue time issues of sharding the playerbase into "solo" and "dynamic". Longer queue times would happen whether you were queuing up as mid or support, or even if they removed the role selector forcing players into effectively "fill" every game.

Not only that but role selector is one of the bastions limiting toxicity of dynamic queue to prevent larger premades from bullying solos into roles they don't want due to having power of majority.

actually, a pure solo que with the champion select would still have shorter que times than dynamic que.

reason is you can freely puzzle together teams of random people who have qued up for 2 roles. while dynamic que is full of 3 to 4 man premades where people already locked up 3 to 4 roles, and the system has to look for 1 random guy who fits in with the other 4.

All these people complaining about DQ just need something to blame for their failure to climb. DQ is fine. People just need to get better.

If a change occurs to the queue system it likely won't be until next season; it's simply too much of a mess to sort out currently. By introducing DQ Riot created an audience with an expectation for DQ and there are tons of people playing ranked in consistent groups and enjoying it - unfortunately, they simultaneously created an expectation for solo players that they would get the queue most solo players have always wanted: devoid of premades.

The reality is these two queue types cannot coexist. A choice will have to be made between the two, because unless they offer meaningful incentives in DQ for solo players I don't see why a single solo player would continue to queue in DQ, if SoloQ were an option. DQ requires solo players to exist and there's no inherent reason a solo player would choose DQ > soloQ.

Support could be made more desirable if they garentee support a ban in dynamic que. and give support items reasonable stats and make the reason they are bought what they offer. larger base damage on and larger heals. sure they may win early game but adcs win late game so that is pretty fair. and both teams will have the supports and adcs. give support items more defensive stats and utility with out nerfing what little ap they have now. they dont have to make 1 passives only work for 1 class they need to re insititue some of the other passives on items for different types of builds
