DFG Ahri
So I want to get Ahri but now that DFG is going away I want to know whether she is worth getting.

She has played well without it, and will continue to do so, I say go for her.
I've never played Ahri with a DFG, and I thoroughly enjoy using her since her release. To me she is one of my favorite champs to play :) so I'd say yes.
you're better off with lb since she does everthing ahri does but better
Get Ahri! As an AP assassin mid laner, I recommend starting with Ahri (if you're new to LOL of coarse) But she is just a tad tricky. The double edged sword that comes with ahri is that, if you go in for a combo, DO NOT HESITATE. A jungler and/or and kind of root, snare or silence could have you wasting your ult, or the last of your mana before basing. 
Is best if played more as an ASSASSIN THAN A FULL ON MAGE. Since 
(for example) is more bursty, She will demolish you because her Chains have a good amount of range. Lux is easy to work with since all you ned to do is avoid that snare. But Fizz, Kassidan or those who dont depend on mana like akali katarina zed and/ or Yasuo have the upper hand. If you are still split on getting her, than just wait for rotation... try her out in a few team comps. Heck, try her as a support.... That charm of hers comes in handy for chases escapes finding stealthed champs in brush and initiating a team fight.
