A question about Azir.

So I really dislike playing against Azir. Not saying he's op or anything but I never feel like I'm playing a fair game when I'm against him. I mean he has high range, escape and most of the time he can outdamage you unless you're something like Syndra.

So, how do I play against him? Especially as melee? Am I supposed to just sit under tower taking 3 minions per wave or..? And please don't say play something with dashes because he can just escape dashes with his e or push you out with R and than kill you. It just feels like he has no downsides when played right.

I like playing against LeBlanc, Zed, or Syndra because they have clear times of vulnerability and to kill you they need to sacrifice some safety, whereas Azir spams w and q at you and when you try to all in him he e's away and kills you.

So... any advice? [sg-janna]

Azir really likes mana. So if he spams q and w as you say, he will be out of mana quite fast. He pushes well, so if you can push early on, you can have an edge over him. This is the midlane playstyle anyway, push early, don't let him take over the lane. He is really good when it comes to hold a position, but he is a weak roamer. You don't have to fight him, go to other lanes and help out.

That's why assassin's like fizz, zed are good against him, as well as long range mages like xerath and ziggs, for all the reasons I mentioned above, aside from the roaming part (in the case of ziggs and xer).
