High Elo Tips. BRING IT

Whats up guys, Squid here. I am currently in Diamond V, and feel like I have hit as high as I can go and I HATE that. A lot of people play this game just to play and see how high up in rank they can get and that's that. I have dreams of playing in the LCS and being a huge impact in the League of Legends scene. I just got out of the Army last month and I am currently using my GI Bill for my computer science degree. When I'm not studying for school, I am studying the forums and other websites for everything there is to know about League of Legends, including watching videos on YouTube. Until this point it never occured to me to post here on the forums for other high elo players (or lower elo, I don't discriminate lol) to reply back and help me in my journey. I love this game, even all it's annoying qwerks that can piss even the most tiltproof of us off haha. Without making you all read a bloody book, I will leave it at this. Give me all of the tips your brain can possibly muster. The largest to smallest of things. I main ADC so preferably would like info in that area, but ANY information that will help me progress in my endeavor is helpful. Include anything from where I should place wards for best results, details on items and why I should build a certain way and learn my own way of building instead of reading off of builds online, understanding team comps and what I can do to counter said comps, masteries and what to change them to and why once teams have been chosen (or why not to change them), settings in game for better gameplay (ie should I lock my camera, etc). Any help I can get from all of you will be GREATLY encouraged. Thank you all!!

I'm not that great at League but I'm at roughly diamond level in some other games. In nearly every game there is a wall that you need to climb over to get to the absolute top level. Let's put it this way:

To be platinum in this game, you need to be good. To be diamond in this game, you need to be consistently good. To be high diamond-low master in this game, you need to be insane. To be high master-challenger in this game, you need to be consistently insane.

Oftentimes there's a whole new world out there once you get to the absolute top of "casual players". You probably need to master everything you know already and then pick up something you had no idea was a big deal to cross that gap between consistently good and insane.
