Caitlyn Headshot Crit Interaction/90% Attack Speed scaling

  1. How does Cait's new headshot work with crits (not the crit scaling, an actual crit)? I seem to recall the wiki being incorrect on how the previous iteration worked with crits on headshot.

  2. Patch notes say she scales with attack speed at 90%. Wiki for some reason said she gets 10% bonus attack speed. Is wiki just completely wrong?

2: Cait's base AS was nerfed, and at the same time she was given a small amount of 'free' bonus AS. Bonus AS applies only to the base AS, so the net effect is that her lvl 1 AS with no relevant runes, masteries, or items is relatively unchanged, but she gets less benefit from the bonus AS in her items.

Actually I see nowhere in the patch notes/red posts anything about 10% bonus attack speed. It seems like wiki may have confused 90% scaling (a penalty) with 10% bonus (a buff).

Yes, technically her Base AS is 10% lower and she has an extra 11% attack speed at level 1 to exactly offset this.

Ok cool. Thanks for the link.

The net result of the changes as described for Caitlyn's AS in the wiki entry for the patch are functionally indistinguishable from how they are described in the official patch notes. It's a different way of saying the same thing.

Cait's passive will not crit and it never has. It almost certainly never will.

I remember there being some interaction between headshot, crits, and possibly IE as well where the resulting damage was not just total crit damage + 50% AD as you would expect.

Found what I was thinking about. Her headshot used to interact with crit in the sense that a crit on a headshot was 1.25 AD x Crit Damage instead of 1 x Crit Damage.

That was a crit on the auto-attack, not on Headshot. Headshot's damage was not increased for crits.

Yah I know, it was actually decreased, hence the 1.25. I'm just wondering if it works differently now?

Although since the .25 was scaling with crit there actually was an interaction between headshot damage and crit.
