Auto Fill in Ranked

Since you're playing ranked you shouldn't have to have this constant fear over your head of, "Oh I might get auto fill." That honestly should only be a thing in normals. Because whats the point of playing ranked if you may get assigned a role you don't like. If you have the possibility of getting jungle when the last thing you know how to do is jungle. I can 100% understand it in normals because you want to get into a game faster. But I would rather wait the time to get into a ranked game than to have a chance to get my worst role.

AGAIN, JUST AN OPINION

Agree with the sentiment, but lets not judge too harshly here. Remember all the previous seasons where it was just pick order? One auto-fill game in exchange for 2 guaranteed games in a preferred role is a good trade off in my book :)

You don't, you can get autofill protection for periods of time which keeps it from being constant. In fact, this means the amount you can be autofilled at all is a pretty low percent of the time (less than 30%)

Its still stupid to enforce a randomly picked position in a portion of league that is specifically designed to be competitive and from what I've seen, barring the possibility of being put into a position you have no experience in playing, queue times are still high, probably because of autofill too. People leave games because no one wants to trade for position x so that player chooses to take a penalty over playing position x, therefor increasing queue times. I've waited in six queue that took over 8 minutes before I got a game and I got autofilled into either jungle or support, which neither are position I play. So I leave those games, having to wait yet another 6+ minutes to find a game. In a gamemode that highly emphasizes skill, autofill has no place in ranked, even if you get autofill protection for x amount of games. Autofill in normals makes sense because there's no real penalty for losing a bad game so you can afford to play a role you don't play. Honestly, I'll take a 20 minute queue time if it means I can play top or mid ever single game.

Most players would quit if queue times got to be 20 minutes. Some form of autofill needs to be in place, whether it's automatic from the system or call order followed by bickering in champ select.
