Zyra Isn't Viable

Playing Zyra, and her passive is useless, her plants aren't exactly strong unless changed to start attacking upon right clicking a target (similar to Azir)

A good passive rework (for example something similar to Illaoi) and better control of the plants (similar to Azir) would make her viable once again.

Passive: Spawns seeds at random in a small proximity Scaled by level: 1: 5 seconds 6: 4 Seconds 11: 3 seconds 16: 2 seconds

Passive 2: Aura of Life (Ish) All living plants/seeds are kept alive in a moderately sized area. once she steps out they begin to decay, if she comes back she nurtures them (slowly restoring their "health")

Q: Kept the same + Reduced Armor/MR (10% max(Maintained by plants attacking?)) (maybe add a poison DOT to the plant upon spawn)

W: Same but stack to 5 instead of 2 and start at 1 (1/2/3/4/5) + When a seed is stepped on, Slow -20% (flat) 1 sec(keep the CDR)

E: Root last maybe a little longer +.25 secs?

R: Complete Rework! Suggestion: Stranglethorns Zyra causes vines to bloom out from the target location, rooting those caught in the vines for the duration. When the vines reach the end of the radius, they suppress all units in the radius and pull them to the original cast point as the roots retract.

However these are all Ideas, take them as you wish, I hope to see some rework to Zyra, though her playstyle is good, and her kit is fun, There needs to be some Work done, as she wasn't touched (except the fix in 5.18) since 3.13. I hope to see her viable again, just don't make her too strong c:

I play Zyra sometimes, and her passive blows.

Urg, thats the problem. She is a very mechanically intensive champion. After playing a ton of Zyra I can say that her passive is one of the most satisfying abilities in League. I'm usually able to get 2-3 kills a game with it. Yes, it's a bummer that it is only viable if you die, but it's really not THAT bad.

I feel like she's good where she is at. Her ult is relevant, she has the E cc to be relevant, and if played in the right hands, she's good, in the wrong ones, she's bad. She's balanced imo.

I had a pretty solid winrate with her a season ago and often leveraged advantages in my lane that snowballed victories. Her only downside is that she's susceptible to dives early on. But with proper warding and attention to where the jungler is, you can endure and get to mid / late game.

I appreciate the Feedback, it Just feels like the passive is pretty useless, as it doesn't actually help you when you're alive. Now, i know the Passives like Kog'Maw and such, but i don't feel they are useful to securing anything, esp because of the 2 second ready time on the passive, it feels like they just walk out of it without any kind of issue. Admittedly i have snagged 3 or 4 kills with it. but it still feels like it would be better if she is the "Rise of the Thorns" like her title suggests, she is very underwhelming

She has really high base damage but is immobile and squishy. I think that's a fair trade-off.

If i were to fix her kit i might increase the range on her ult a little bit. It sometimes feels that the knock-up comes way too slow and you are already dead to people diving you... and maybe decrease the power of her plants but let her hold more seeds. Keep the damage the same but it lets you be more versatile with how you split damage/ slows

I feel as though she needs more plants, to supplement the "Rise of the Thorns" and yes her ult needs a rework. But the seed cap needs to be buffed. As well as a passive rework,
