I can't climb! Please, help me...

Well, this is my case. I started about 2 months ago and I was placed on Silver V. I was OK with that because I knew I was not that good to be placed higher, so I tried my best, but everytime I wanted to play ranked games, I always got a team with AFK players, feeders or with both. [sg-ahri-1] With the new system I've been demoted to Bronze I with 76 LP, so, with the best mood possible, I tried to climb to reach Silver again, but I lost 5 games in a row because when I won my lane the other ones had lost theirs. Recently I've been demoted to Bronze II and again lost another because the other lanes and the jungle were feeding. I'm so tired of this. I know we all have bad games but I find impossible to understand why always my team have to that bad. [sg-janna] I know sometimes I play bad but I always try to keep going and win, but my teammates don't do the same. I'm not asking to be a Challenger but at least I want to be Silver and, maybe, Gold. I'm main support with Lux Lux , Thresh Thresh , Brand Brand and Morgana Morgana . I also play JG sometimes with Yi MasterYi, Camille Camille and Evelynn Evelynn, and Mid with Lux Lux, Brand Brand, Zoe Zoe and Annie Annie. Can you tell me if you have passed by the same situation and what did you do to overcame it? Could you give me an advice to play better and carry my team? [sg-soraka]

Sorry to hear about your times in ranked at the moment, happens to everyone though I know the feeling of getting stuck somewhere. I can't guarantee that this is gonna help out but I'll try my best to give you some advice, or identify a few things for you.

Maining support in lower ranks is really hard to climb with, because most of the time your ADC is going to be a low rank as well, your efforts may not pay off unless you can make huge plays somehow. I'm not telling you to stop playing it, but it is going to be way easier to climb out if you do that and improve in say Jungle, Top, and Mid. That said, to play support in low ranks, you usually have to play a heavy poke mage with high damage, and you do that, so honestly I'm not sure what to say there. Just try to go for poke instead of kills on Brand and Lux , don't aim to kill until you are sure you can, and when you use your big AoE abilities, try not to get them on minions. Also, have you tried playing Blitzcrank over Thresh ? Hes usually way more effective in lower ranks, since he can punish mistakes way easier. Another option you could try for supporting is playing beefier champions like Pyke Alistar Braum Leona . Laning is a little harder to stay safe on for them, but its much easier to get a head and win the game through bot with them as well. Honestly though, I'm not sure if I can provide anything else, I haven't played support to climb really, so I have no clue how to do it, though another suggestion if you don't plan on switching champs, is building item 3504 on Lux as a support. Its decent damage and that on-hit effect keeps you a support as well. Otherwise stay your distance and good luck, sorry I can't be anymore help.

Play Janna instead of Lux

So I can't really criticize your gameplay since we can't see how you play. If you are going to play support, I would recommend you stick with thresh , morg, or lux(and maybe try blitz). Landing a q can be game winning on the enemy carry, provided you have a good followup.

In low elo, its more likely that people would want to do things on their own, and occasionally wouldn't know how to push their lead to win. Zoe Lux Annie Evelynn Camille Can take huge advantage over this since they all have strong solo pick potential.

as for solo carrying, I would probably stick with MasterYi since he can be a pain to deal with once fed, and has little room for mistakes.

Overall, take advantage of people when they're alone. I don't know how many games I've lost from having a great lead due to everyone being fed and wanting to do their own thing, only to have 3-4 ppl collapse on us everytime.

PS good luck on your climb :) Im not a great player but this was some things I learned climbing out of silver, and anyone is welcome to disagree with what I said [sg-poppy]

Im not super high rank but had to try and climb from B4 to Silver 4, hopefully gold next season. With the characters you pick (mainly Lux/Brand) when you are playing support you need to play for yourself at Bronze (yes yes its a team game and supports are supposed to help their ADCs carry blah blah but this is not Gold/plat and above) don't be afraid to take kills when you can get them. If you get the opportunity to kill someone in lane DO IT. When YOU get fed you have to convert your lead into objectives and kills for the rest of your team. Be the leader. Did you just bop your lane? Ok cool ping your most likely afk farming JG to dragon. If he doesn't come control ward it and make sure its safe take your adc and do it. Take any advantage/gold you can get and try and snowball. No objective to take? Dont just sit around in your lane waiting for your ADC to come back or something roam to mid and gank for him, or help your jg invade the enemy jg safely. Also if you need to just mute all. Concentrate on the game and ping when you need to communicate. Most people in bronze aren't saying literally anything useful or are just trying to flame for their own mistakes. Mute it.

As a JG Especially with Eve (I play her often myself) you need to hit 6 AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. You can look up different jg paths ( I prefer starting raptors and going for an early red buff gank mid/top). Jungle is pretty tough especially at low elo (trust me Im there), laners won't ward for you won't ping summs, will overextend with no vision etc etc. Literally all the things that a jg fears the most. So you need to outthink the other jg, take your opportunities when you find them and snowball (which can be very easy for Eve). Muting is probably more necessary as a jg because you will get flamed often or pinged for their mistakes (overextending/overstaying being the most common imo). Gank when YOU feel like its a good opportunity, do not gank JUST because someone pings you or just begs for a gank when they are almost at the enemy tower you'll both die, feed, then lose. Now remember everyone at that level is bronze (obviously) so they are going to make the exact same mistakes on the enemy team (you HAVE to pay attention), and Eve in particular can punish extremely hard for this due to her charm (make them pay) at the very least you'll burn a flash from them and they have to either back off next time or they die (visit them again). After a successful gank help your laner push the wave to tower and either go buy, drop a ward in the enemy jg or go back to farming. Do something useful. When I started jg I watched my replays and realized I wasted a LOT of time wandering around when I could have been doing something useful before backing. If you have a lane that feeds their faces of DO NOT GO. Try and get your other lanes or yourself fed and win another way. If you really feel you must go you had better make absolutely sure you can win that fight (this is where the mute button comes into play because they will cry and they will beg and flame for you not being there to die with them). Once you've completed your JG item and Lich Bane you can legit walk into almost any lane and remove at least one person from the game at lvl 6.

As mid Zoe...well learn how to play her (I mean REALLY learn how to play her) she is devastating at our elos. Grab a demateralizer rune in your secondary path push your lane and roam (she is beast at roaming for a couple of reasons: 1. Her W spells basically give you a free ghost so don't be afraid to use them to get around the map faster. 2. Her E through Terrain, no one at this level sees it coming. ping the lane that your coming and hit the bubble for a free kill in most cases 3.She can nearly one shot or one shot squishes but you have to be able to hit the spells.

Again i'm not high elo but that's what I've got. Hope it helps
