Can Supports Carry in Low Elo?

Some people think that it's impossible to carry as support in low elo. This video demonstrates that it is certainly possible at times but not always. What do you think? Can supports carry in low elo?

Yes, damage heavy supports can easily carry.

Certain sups do insane enough damagr that they can in fact carry(brand.zyra.velkoz) are the biggest ones ive noticed although it is possible carry with other supports by simply doing your job. Warding and providing cc. People tend to undervalue the support but when a sup finishs the game with twice anyone elses crowd control and vision score you know they did work

of course AP supports can carry. They scale well with AP.

Make the same video but playing soraka.

Soraka is too generous because she can still scale with ap and create stat advantages with her healing while both teams are still trying to figure out if they even wanna go in and instead hesitate constantly.

Make em play a support that is more cc / kite assistance oriented like lulu or braum or something and it will be horrible.

Brand, Velzok, and Zyra aren't real Supports. They're just shitty Mages who can't hack it in mid lane.

i wouldnt call being able to carry games off a single item shitty.

nerf item 3151 already. the item has been broken since they increased the passive burn damage.

It is when the only reason they're able to do so is from Riot giving them obscene base damage (Brand) or zero mana cost on their abilities. (Zyra before the recent nerf and Vel'koz's 40 mana Q.)

do the math. i think its passive triples the damage on brands? same for zyra with her plants.

i think velkoz base damage is just broken.

This is true. Brand and Zyra are both very large abusers of Lianrdie's. Especially since Brand's passive constantly reapplies the burn because...reasons?
