League is not fun anymore

This is my first post in any League forum or community discussion. I've been playing this game since season 2 and i've never felt so angry at this game as i am now. I remember when I used to gather a few friends and we would play the game, have a laugh, play for hours on end... Now, League is pretty much almost a chore for everyone. This game isn't fun anymore. It's almost not playable at all for random average guys like me. OFC the pros can play the game. The game is made for them, with no regard for the average after-work players, casual like me and my friends. Dashes everywhere, Tanks with loads of damage and cc, fighters, bruisers, "marksmans". I miss the old days when League was not a competitive game. I miss the old days of League.

Dunkey, the youtuber, stopped playing and making League Videos. I am going the same way. These days it seems that riot only balances the game for the pro scene, only cares about skins and generally making the game dull, boring and generallynot interesting at all.

I'm sorry for my rant. I just feel that the game i've played for so much time, finally has begun to die. It's no fun anymore.

Cheers

FWIW, Dunkey didn't stop playing; he was unbanned and has been playing all day. He just talks smack.

I hate the direction they are going in, and the neglect to OP champs and nerfing perfectly fine champs like Old Elise, first version of reworked twitch, rek sai was fine before, and a big one for me was Skarner.

WHY THE FUK DID YOU MAKE MY FAVORITE CHAMPION SO UN FUN . Pls for the love of God revert him.........

Skarner is competitively viable for the first time in like 2 seasons, you shut your mouth

Rek'Sai is still being played somewhat competitively which I guess makes her semi-viable. She's basically more utility than damage which most soloQ players think no damage = useless.

Skarner was pretty good for a few seasons. Oh and the new Skarner is still basically the same except he was just given the Spires which doesn't really change his play style all too much and they even help him.

Twitch was really good during Worlds and was a top tier ADC a few years ago, even earning him a skin for it.

Old Elise was just fine? Really? No one liked playing against her back then, period.

All of these champions somewhat deserved some of the nerfs they received.

Honestly almost every patch is making me more and more thinking that's what EXACTLY what riot does i mean i always thought they did it but not solely on them, I thought there was some consideration to ALL players but this statement is really convincing me.

As much as they claim to not balance to the pro scene, they seemed to have convinced themselves that it's true. This patch is literally called the Worlds Patch where minimal changes are done so it doesn't upset the delicate balance of the professional scene.

So much for being a player-focused company. Replace this idiotic balance team with people who actually give a shit about the playerbase instead of the spectators.

Worlds is really fucking different from LCS.

We are here for good games during worlds, real talk I don't give a shit if darius is 90% pick/ban in solo Q if that means he gets nerfed before I get to see some fucking plays, because hes obviously not as strong in competitive.

They will nerf during LCS but during worlds just for players? Please no.

This is exactly the issue. This is literally what I've been preaching since the start of this downhill spiral out of control. People like you who don't give a shit about the state of the game and instead put your focus to the pro scene while the rest of us suffer; that's Riot's audience now. If they want to cater to spectators and the pros, they should honestly take "player-focused" out of their company manifesto. The charade has gone on for too long for this to be believable anymore.

considering players think garen is op atm I really don't give a shit about a player-focused company when most people are bronze or silver. I want my matchmaking to be balanced on those diamond and up, like it is now. Where people actually know how to play the game.

As soon as you mentioned dunkey I stopped reading, that guy is a dick head.

You're opinion is your own, I say you should find other things that make you happy, instead of playing this "chore". Idk why it's such a big deal to stop playing... just move on?

Mentioning someone who has a related problem isn't taking someone's opinion and making it your own. (= he/she mentioned dunkey because of their related problems at the time.

I sometimes feel this way, too. I am not interested in a super mobile meta landscape with all skillshots and average time-to-kills below 1 second. I enjoyed the game a lot more when I could play the champions I liked and have a decent shot at winning, because that's how I always played and so my elo/mmr was tuned to me not always playing THE best champions according to the current meta. Now, every time I play (and I always play teambuilder or blind pick), I end up against Zed, Talon, or Yasuo mid and don't have a chance unless I play my main.

Personally I find the 'pro' balance more fun to play anyway

I was never a fan of 'huddle around the Mages' and 'battle of the stat-balls' metas. LC$ meta has its downsides but it's certainly the most fun for me, but people have different opinions I suppose
