Anti-Healing in Kits

This patch introduced some extra counter picking options to certain champion's kits, specifically extra anti-healing for Katarina's R and Kled's Q. Prior to this, grievous wounds was the same amount of healing reduction from all sources and existed in only 2 champion's kits: Katarina and Varus . Riot has also been removing grievous wounds from abilities like Fizz W and Miss Fortune W and adding in items like , , and to allow players to counter BUILD rather than force them to counter PICK.

Despite this, I'm wondering how Varus got passed up in this buff to anti-healing while sporting a 47.9% win rate and a 3.6% pick rate and being unable to build since his core item is ? Katarina was already sitting at a 51.5% win rate and 8.7% play rate before this buff and consistently builds and takes on top of her built in heal reduction during ult, making her one of the last champions you would think to add more healing reduction to. Kled didn't even have any grievous wounds in his kit before this patch and somehow got this buff over Varus.

I'm just sorta confused. [sg-janna]

(This is basically a rant post about Varus being bad and getting passed over for a minor buff. And yes, I play a lot of Varus.)

Riot despises Varus, honestly i've never been more sure about it than i'm right now. Varus is a throwpick in soloque, every part of his kit has gotten gutted, his items get nerfed and then he gets ignored, while Syles/Pyke/Aatrox get months dedicated to them to try and get them, Varus is ignored and left in a sorry state. Riot just hates this champion.

Kaisa has been top tier since her release while Varus rots.

I think they should remove Grievous wounds from Executioners calling item 3123 and bramble vest item 3076 and force people to Build FULL FUCKING ITEMS like mages item 3165 need to to even think about countering healing... so many games just oh 800 gold now its a 5v4 yay!.... while i sit in a corner and cry due to Soraka being nerfed next to the ground and all they do is give her a 15 damage buff on her Q??????? why not give her the center of her Q again and the remove antihealing on her ult again.... and maybe make it where grievous wounds doesnt turn my 800+ healing ult into around 150-200 healing ult..... Soraka [sg-soraka] ..... idk this is just my opinion since they took so much damage from her kit then only gave her 20-30 extra healing on her Q......

too be fair kat ult/kled Q is good vs burst healing. otherwise if used on a tanky champ (mundo since hes the godforsaken regeneration juggernaut) its does her damage but its wasted due to the already built in MR that target has spirit visage/adaptive helm (if the target wanted to build those 2 together). i can see its effect on "protect the X comp"

To say someone is unable to build something is usually a fallacy.

Better to say "He's averted to building item 3033 " because while you're correct in saying that no Varus would ever want to build it, the item itself is not restricted.
