Please Stop Nerfing Shaco

Dear Riot,

I've been playing Shaco for a long time now because playing tricks on people is not only my favorite way of playing; it's a way of life. However, for the longest time I have been annoyed about the inconsistency of his ult (Phaco). If his lore is to create a copy of himself to use as a distraction, why is it so easy to tell the difference? Phaco can trigger on hit effects from items like item 3087 and item 3074, so why is it wrong for him to to carry red and blue buff. By now most players have accepted Shaco as a jungler, so why does Phaco discourage having buffs that are mandatory to succeed in that role? Well up until this point I have accepted these facts and just tried to be wise about using Phaco while having red or blue buff and I've managed pretty well. Now here lies the problem at hand. Junglers are encouraged to maintain dragon control. With the new dragon buffs, Shaco has been auto-nerfed. Now if Shaco's team has a single dragon, Phaco loses it's lore. For the rest of the game Shaco will have a reddish orange glow to him and Phaco will not, as well as an icon if you target him. Do you ever plan on making Shaco a Viable champion again? or is he doom to be cast aside as we move into the future of league? This argument is meant to include MonkeyKing and Leblanc and mostly concerns the fact that dragon never goes away.

Shaco's not getting any huge buffs until he loses his rather absurd blink/stealth on a single button.

It would't surprise me if Shaco's just up for a rework. Of all the stealth mechanics in the game, Shaco's is among the most obnoxious.

An exploding clone that does damage and your problem is that if you have buffs it's easy to tell which is the real one? Screw Shaco. An instant stealth blink that has LOWER mana cost as it gains rank? No. He can rot in hell.

Shaco is actually still viable, In fact, as he loses his little popularity he gains more surprise to his play, which means that playing against one is REALLY FREAKING HARD and deadly, because not mentally trained to look out for him as much i used to be, Shaco's clone is a clone of himself BUT when is the shaco clone based on? If i were to create a painting of myself i'd need to look into a mirror I could look into the mirror 1 hour take the mirror away, eat dinner, and paint again WITHOUT the mirror but i got food on myself, i'm not painting myself at that point, i'm painting myself in the mirror, I.E. its a perfect copy of when i was """"perfect"""" (lots of quotes indicate sarcasm right?) so if you think along that line Then: it seems reasonable that Shaco's clone is a clone of shaco in his natural state However; knowing and having played against shaco, i do use his buffs to differentiate, if i see both, however i will still AA a singe one while looking, which means that i'm possibly attacking the wrong one. also Watch Pink Ward, interesting videos is a shaco main, new techniques to playing shaco, NOT jungle only.

have to agree, does suck, but certain things shouldn't like if you are bleeding when ult'd only you should have the bleed and not the phaco, but buffs definitly should. hell, i'd even make his death stronger if you have buffs XD. doubt that would be balanced but is a unique idea.

As far as I know, Riot has never confirmed if Shaco's clones are supposed to be easy to find, or if it's just a bug. I completely agree with you on this one.

You can also target Phaco and Shaco and look to see who has smite buff

Or smite counter

Only thing he really needs is making his clone copy over buffs. That would make him atleast viable, but still not the best.

It would atleast be a temporary fix until they find a way to fix his other issues.

Agreed with this. I do think that certain things should give clues to which is the real Shaco (like Sheen glow), but buffs and aura's should probably be shared with he and his clone to help him keep with his trickery style of play.

They should have the clone to have all the buffs and effects the original have, like the clone will carry red buffs and hit things on fire, the clone should hit lightning if the original has shiv and should have aoe attack animation if the original have hydra etc, it just won't do anything numerically.

In short the clone should have a copy of that can be visibly seen from the actual Shaco, just not the effects.

That would be awesome.

LeBlanc is pretty much the same way. If she goes to get a blue buff, comes back to mid lane and I proc her passive then I will be able to tell which is the real one.

Screw stealth and screw shaco.

Playing against a good decent shaco is one of the most miserable experiences in the game.

Rework this SoB into something that's fun to play as AND against

I see agree with many of the arguments so far and am not asking for Shaco to be buffed. I don't think I put enough emphasis on the dragon aspect. Shaco being marked causing the real one to be exposed is not a big deal. However, dragon buff lasts for the rest of the game.

I'm sorry, but a Shaco player for me is always the Duke of Dickbags, he's the most un-fun champion to play against. It's just fucking miserable.

His clone not having the buffs visually is a way for the enemy to counterplay and have a chance against shaco. It is hard enough that he can make a 1v1 into a 2v1, but atleast if he has buffs then you have a chance at winning. I will agree with Phaco having the dragon icon and glow to him, but for red and blue I think it is fine for him not to have it.

Also if you want Phaco to have it then I assume you wish for Leblanc and wukong's clones to have the buff icon's when they appear? Just saying I don't care if Phaco gets it, I'll adapt to the game, but if Phaco gets this then everyone should be wanting Leblanc and wukong's clones to have this too.

Upvoted for Phaco. But isn't Shaco's ult more used for dealing more AA damage in duels and soloing Baron? Not many people attempt or succeed at the whole "Ima trick them with my ult" thing.

Nerf him more, the sooner he disapears the better
