HOW TO FIX YOUR MOUSE IN 4K League (no external programs)

Hello,I have recently changed my main monitor to a large 4k tv, after changing it i discovered a terrible side affect of playing League in 4K, Both the cursor and the HUD are incredibly small (i actually now prefer the smaller HUD but a lot of people don't). I promptly scoured the internet to find a fix, but all i could find was people complaining about it or saying that they should just use external programs to manufacture the illusion of a larger cursor. I have come with a fix, no real knowledge needed and no "legit mouse make bigginator 2000" program, you just need 2 min and basic computer knowledge.

Step 1: Go to your League of Legends folder usually ThisPc>DiskC>RiotGames>LeagueofLegends Step 2: Open the file Named Config Step 3: Open the Note document labeled Game.cfg (should be almost at the top) Step 4: Look through the note till you see a section named CursorScale (should be 7 lines down) Step 5: Adjust the scale to what you like (Mine is 2.500) Step 6: Click Save, and close the document Step 7: Reload League of legend Step 8: Enjoy your larger cursor

Thank you for your time and be sure to let me know if it worked of you, i do not know if this could get you banned but i've used it for a month and im fine. I apologize that i didn't tell you how to fix HUD scale but it is because i dont know if there is any way to fix it (if you know a way Post below and make your own post). -Good Luck

DUDE HELP i did it many times and before like couple of months but now its stopped working , It says it is on 2500 or 3000, however , but it is not displaying that size , I think I am the only one that this things happens to??

i know this way late, but i just removes the line loaded up the game. and played a custum match then closed down lol and re edited the file.

Does not work with live client as of Jan 15, 2020, works perfect for PBE account, I wish this was working in live client as i can barely see the mouse on my 4k monitor and I dont want to lower resolution. @Riot where is the fix??

I managed to figure it out, even after the 15 January 2020 update.

Before you begin making the following alterations, make sure your settings (graphics, resolution, HUD, mini-map, interface, hotkeys, and ANYTHING INVOLVING SETTINGS) are absolutely, without a doubt, perfect and to your liking. Make sure your cursor is set to it's maximum size within the in-game Interface settings.

  1. Go to your LoL config files: (C:/Riot Games/League of Legends/Config). Location varies on where you installed the game. Make a backup of the game.cfg and PersistedSettings.json files on your Desktop or some folder, just in-case.

  2. Open game.cfg with Notepad.

  3. Change CursorOverride=0 AND CursorScale=1.0000 to the following: CursorOverride=1 CursorScale=2.0000. Use the Search function (Ctrl+F) if you need help finding them, but they're close to the top, so you should see it almost right away.

  4. After saving and closing game.cfg, right click the file, click Properties, and check the Read-only box. This ensures the file cannot be edited.

  5. Open PersistedSettings.json with Notepad.

  6. Change CursorOverride=0 AND CursorScale=1.0000 to the following: CursorOverride=1 AND CursorScale=2.0000. Use the Search function (Ctrl+F) if you need help finding them.

  7. Once again, after saving and closing, ensure you right click PersistedSettings.json, click Properties, and check Read-only.

NOTE: Because checking the Read-only box makes the file unable to be altered by the game, this means that any changes to your settings in-game will automatically be reverted back to the settings that are set for these files prior to you setting it to Read-only. So if you decide you want to make the hotkey for an active item in slot 1 to be mapped to another key, you can, however when you start another game, your settings will revert back to how it was originally after you've made these alterations to these files.

I also do not know how else this might affect the game after an update, but I would check to see if the files were changed or edited as a result of any patches. Obviously there's a patch going on tonight, so I am unsure if this will work in the next few hours, and I truly wish I had this a week ago on the forums, but good luck. Hopefully it works after this patch.
