You need to double that Cs id you wanna get an S, 122 is something you should get in the first 30 mins.

Also tell them to buy pink wards

His CS is on the low side. He also needs to place AND kill wards. Yellow trinket and pink wards are key. Then he has to participate in as many objectives as possible - multiple towers and dragons help a lot. It's not all about KDA, it's about total kill participation and total damage dealt to champions.

As a side note, if the enemy surrenders, it's generally harder to get S grades.

Trinket use, and you need more farm. It also goes based on how OTHER players handle tha champ. Jhin is a high performer, so its harder to get an S with him than say, Trist

well 122 cs is rather bad i find that i can get that s easier when i farm alot. Last night went 12 6 8 in a game not s worthy to me but i had 290 cs or so and got it no problem and to tell the truth jihn is hard to get one with because ppl can rack up kills like nothing with him

Kill Participation seems to cause issues with getting S ranks. I have a feeling they may compare you to the average jhin in kda cs and gold, and if you out perform the average jhin player to a certain extent you get that rating.

Although criteria for S ranks is odd. I got a couple S ranks on illaoi support the other day and one last night on Elise top lane after going 5/3/5 with poor kill participation and forced to farm under turret against an irelia most of laning phase

It depends on how the game is going for everyone else, a lot of the time.

If his team is winning by a large majority, than the fact that he is doing well won't get him an S.

If he's only swooping in to get kills at the end (which, no offense to your friend, a lot of Jhin kills are just that) then it doesn't seem to give as much preference. Think of it like the spectator client: points are constantly given to whoever the auto-camera is following since it believes they are the 'play makers' at the time. Your movement and mechanics while dueling can be more important than kills. (For instance, 18/0/6 Cait got me a B, but 4/2/8 Lux got an S+ because I spent the whole game spamming spells and roaming lanes).

Past that, I would say focus on wards. A lot of Jhin players have kills, and a lot have farm, so if you're even with those then you should place more wards than all the other Jhin players. The only way I was able to get rank 7 on Soraka was by placing over 50 wards a game alongside never dying and getting 70% kill participation. Without enough wards I would only get A+.

Because jhin is an ez mode champion so the bar is set really high to get S.
