Is it possible for League to not register a win and give you the LP for the win?

I played a ranked game and I had 87 LP before the game started, I was trying to get in my promos which is how I remember. Then I play the game and I win and as I get out of the game the end game screen is not loading so I click the "Skip waiting for stats" and my client just does not work, it was saying that I was not connected to the server. It would open up the LOL Client, the window where the loading screen is and just where you play summoners rift and such, and it was a black screen and it would pop up the error saying that I was not connected to the server and the prompt to RETRY or CANCEL. I created a ticket on Riot Support but it fixed on its own. Anyways, as the connection fixed itself on its own hours later, I look at my LP and it is the same. I am not sure if I should just play a ranked game and see where I am and that it is just glitched or if it didn't register the game because it didn't think I ever finished the game or something. I am not sure what the issue is or if there is an issue, it is just something really weird that I saw.
