TANK?
Is there any reason to go tank in this game anymore. Eveygame i gotop and im a tank type champ like
or
the other laner just gets all damage so to this is their a place for tanks now?

Fun fact: The team with one or two tanks, statistically speaking, has a significantly higher chance of winning than the team with zero tanks.
There's a difference between a Fighter/Tank and a Tank/Mage (or a Tank/Support for that matter).
Right now utility-based Tanks who aren't Leona are super unpopular compared to folks like Jman and Vi. I suspect part of the issue is that Dragon gives bonus offense and no defense to speak of. When Dragon gave gold Tanks could use said gold to get tankier. Now they just sit in a corner and cry.
MOST of the game-warping changes that have catapulted Assassins into the position they have right now is largely thanks to Dragon.
The fact that Riot keeps nerfing the cost-effectiveness of defensive gear and buffing the cost-effectiveness of offensive doesn't help.
Malphite top is bananas, what you you smoking? And Nasus should be doing scary damage with his Q lategame unless you didn't farm it. Both of them are quite scary with the right teams and if played properly.
Not at all. Health doesn't benefit melee champions near enough for it to be effective. Significant changes need to be made before tanks can be a thing again.
Heck, bruisers aren't really a thing anymore either. Everyone's just a melee carry now, or a useless potato.
In short yes tanks still serve a purpose they just aren't dominant like they where this time last year.
Ehh, Nasus is a Raid Boss, and technically speaking, Malphite is closer to that of a front line bruiser.
Raid Bosses by nature have bad early games and just barely "on par" mid games depending on how well they've been farming. Malphite doesn't need to go full tank unless already behind.
Nasus is not a Tank, he's a Fighter. Your problem, from what I can see on your LoLking, is that you don't build ANY damage at all! Give Malphite a Tiamat and go farm some waves! How can you expect to win a fight when everyone on the enemy team has 2000~3000 more gold than you do?
So long as your team comp can work with a tank, then yes. Malphite is especially good in this dive meta with his ult. He's a champion that can go full tank and still deal significant damage.
Two things to be aware of. If you're the only tank on your team, don't expect to last long in team fights If you have a second tank/bruiser on your team then you may make it through team fights with another person to soak damage.
Just be aware of your team comp and work so that when you go in, you don't go in alone. A tank is a powerful asset to a team, but he's not invulnerable.
Dis dude just went afk in a game an hour ago after going 0-3 Nasus. Posted this thread an hour ago saying tanks suck.
Hmm...
Rito please permaban for afking after feeding.
You really have to know which items to build in order to counter your opponents. What rune pages to use, what masteries to use, etc.
Example: You're Nasus top. - You're against what you personally believe to be an AD top, and an AD jungle. Great, you automatically know you counter both of them, and can sustain in your lane harder if you build armour straight off the bat. Bam, you just learned how to counter your opponents.
So start off with a crazy armour page, like one of mine where I have full armour yellows, full armour reds, and full armour quints, with some scaling MR blues. You go 9/21 into the defensive tree with some additional points in your armour. - Wait, check to see if your opponents are going to be building critical strike.
They have an "AD"C? - Not a hybrid? Do they have a Nocturne AND a Yasuo? Ok, you want that point into your critical strike defense. Bam, you just countered them again, and the game hasn't even started yet.
Now you can start off with Cloth + 5 Pots. You can go Doran's Shield or Doran's Ring. (Aye, yes I will go Ring for mana sustain so I can Q farm harder)
Do you have 3 or 4 or MORE enemy AD's? Go 100% armour build.
Sunfire Cape, Iceborn Gauntlet, Randiun's, Thornmail, Frozen Heart, Ninja Tabi's.
Now you have like 400-450 armour late game, and these guys are going to need TWO last whispers just to touch you (Oh wait, that was Season 3, they don't stack anymore, so you're safe)
