Hey guys I love playing league of legends and i have probably spent around 300$ on the game. I live in Hawaii and experience around 90-100 ping. With the server change to Chicago what kind of numbers should i expect?

I believe we Hawaii players can expect around 140-150 ping

its hard to say. but you never know. they could be updating their servers while they move so hopefully it doesnt go up too much. until tomorrow (or when ever the changeover is) just try and be positive. they said if there was any mishaps they'd undo the changes so again just wait it out!

My guess would be around 160 to 180. Just given that it will likely be around 90 for LA.

You are getting the worst of the deal.

You might actually want to try playing on OCE if the ping is that crazy high.

In reality though Riot would have likely been better of unlocking all accounts between regions so you can play on any server you want and having a NA east and NA west servers like Dota 2 has.

Oceana is in Australia, I believe, which is no closer to Hawaii than Chicago is. Basically Hawaii players are screwed.

I play league with 112 ping right now (west coast) and I cant wait for the server change ;) but just going to tell you that I play @ 112 ping average, and I never experience any lag or latency issues, best of luck :)

Wow it's that high in Hawaii?

I live in Southern Alaska, and I experience 50-60 ping. I'm wondering how much higher it will shoot up to when they move the servers. I could deal with 70-80, but I've played games at like 90-110 ping and I could notice a slight difference. It's enough to annoy me, but I'm trying to remain positive like people are saying. The people who have like 10 ping complaining about the server change really annoy me as much as it does the east coasters.

The server is in Seattle or something? So Alaska should have good ping if that's the case.

They're moving to Chicago tomorrow though. I am at around 50 right now.

Thanks everyone for the feedback I will probably still continue to play league. I hope riot makes 2 servers so we people in Hawaii,Alaska and Japan can play in around 100 ping max.
