Provisionals- need rioter response

I suppose I'm confused, my other account that peaked at silver 2 last season had some 40+ games and a 58% win rate. I go 5-0 in provisions then lose. Win the next 2 lose then win. So I went 8-2, get placed in bronze 1. Meanwhile a person on my list didn't touch ranked at all until the off season. Off season plays 18 games, gets silver 3 tops at silver. They play their provisional's go 6-4 get silver 5. What kinda messed up rating system is being used that someone who performs worse gets rewarded overall?

That sounds about right. I played two or three ranked games on my smurf in Preseason 5, didn't place, came back at the end of Season 5, went 7-3 and got Gold 5. Granted the last three games or so were against platinums and diamonds. This is just how it works. The more you've played, the less your new wins are going to count.
