Neither of the Red Trinkets seem to reveal stealthed champions

Does anyone else have this sort of problem? It seems like the trinkets are only for wards now, because i stood next to a stealthed Talon with the Oracle alteration and he was nowhere to be seen. The sweeping lens version get applied to an area, but even if they walk through that area they aren't revealed. Also the tooltips of the trinkets on the shop and on your trinket item slot do not match. Since Oracle's Elixir has long since been removed from the rift, what can be done about vision on stealth champions?

TL;DR Can't see invis champs with red trinkets what do?
