Does Master yi alpha strike should hit invisible targets?

I don't know if this is a bug or something else but why alpha strike doesn't deal damage to a champion who enter stealth for example if i alpha strike shaco before he Q but ofc my alpha strike has a cast time where shaco would enter stealth it doesn't deal damage to him..why? it should be like this plus alpha strike goes on CD
