People Need to Shut Up

Alright so over the last day there seems to be a common complaint going on it the riot community, mainly where is URF. When riot told them they weren't gonna get URF right away but it would be back later this year in a rotating Que, they got pissed off. Now they are even saying that if Urf isn't on April 1 it loses its meaning. They even have the nerves to say that they people at Riot don't listen to them and/or care about what they want. Lets go back to last year all these same people were saying give us URF all year round, or at least let us play it more than 1 week out of the year. Now they have the nerves to listen to say Riot never listens to the community? Honestly, people need to take a step back and see how Riot has made the game a better place and is continuing to do so for us the community. They do listen and are trying to make the game a better place, but you have to understand they are human and can not snap their fingers and make everything better they have to put in work to fix it. Well, there is my 2 cents hope everyone has a great Saturday .

This guy nailed it on the head. The fact they refuse to give ANY feedback at all is wrong. Call me entitled if you want but we as the community pay the bills at riot studios deserve some kind of response and or apology for this absolutely awful event that did nothing but upset people.

It's not like Riot will descend from their ego cloud to gives us insight into their horrific April Fools disaster. At least CertainlyT apologized for the infamous Mordekaiser rework with a "Sowwy :3" kind of attitude, but this isn't being graced with any kind of solace. They're too high in their own delusional sense of genius - they could care less if we're not having fun - much less offer an apology for misunderstanding our interests, or blatantly ignoring very helpful player feedback. They'll do anything to keep us pinned to our same-old SR Draft Pick - even if that means making a Draven mode that's basically just SR Draft pick disguised as something remotely satirical. I wouldn't describe myself as being angry or frustrated with the whole endeavor, just a bit disappointed and bored.

The issue is, they released a crappy barely-there alteration to already existing game modes, AND made it mandatory. (Think the gimmick is shit? Too bad, guess you don't play Blind Pick or ARAM for the entire weekend)

Hell, had they even released something as half-hearted as an All-for-one where everyone was ACTUALLY Draven, it would be something. And this is key: You wouldn't be forced to play it, you could opt out of the game mode!

I've been here about 5 years, and I've watched Riot steadily care less and less about what the community is asking for, and simply moving forward whatever looks good on a tournament screen.

No I did not, but what in the world say just because they release something funny every year they have to continue with it? I will not disagree with the fact that Draven day was stupid, but that doesn't mean that Riot messed up, they have given us so much in the past month with the crafting system. I don't know about anyone else but that made me really happy cause I can get free skins.

Free skins.... yay.... I have enough of this.... once again the money I spend in support of buying the expensive ones.... to have a crafting system to give out free ones.... hmm

And the crafting system keys are bugged, so now keys will be more frequent as a result - to compensate for this. The Draven party is just a blatant money grab - now that the hextech system is robbing them - as well as robbing those of us who bought skins that can now be earned. I feel ya.

You weren't forced to play it though.... it was only seen in BLIND, ARAM and TT where the norm for playing the game now has been DRAFT ever since the new Champion select was released.

Unless you love ARAM or really like playing one of the perma-banned champs. ARAM and Blind Pick both have significant traffic, and 100% of that traffic was forced to endure the Draven BS.

And SnoopKittens, I never said it had to be funny, but if Riot is going to do a "game mode", do an actual game MODE. The last time they did something with 100% FORCED participation, it was the Gangplank arc, and the community response to his removal from the game was so overwhelmingly negative that they gave away a free skin to try to mollify us.

Riot should have learned then that the community likes to CHOOSE to participate in events, not be forced into them.

No. The whole Gangplank thing was planned. They made him and has new skin for that arc... everything was planned. People just freaked out over the slightest little things.
