Dear riot I am user ajwander from the EUW server of league of legends I have played this game for such a long time, coming up for 6 years in fact I still remember the first championships. I love the creativity and freedom this game provides but over the year one thing has changed that I feel has been overlooked. The community has changed dramatically there is a split in the community. Gamers who play to be the best make a living from this and make it there life, " living the dream" and all that jazz. But you also have the veterans the people like me who have loved this game for years just for the game I don't want to rank or go to championships I just want to strategize and hopefully win with my team. So now there is an added conflict in every game there is people who play "meta" and think this is the only way and then on the other side you have people embracing the options and creativity you offer without wanting to achieve "meta".

This is just one point I have to make I feel this has lead to problems in every aspect of the game. The next thing I would like to touch on is the ranked community's availability to bot games. I feel this is something that need attention due to my in site of a split community when you have no rank and a gold player appears you know there is no way this is going to be a full fun game because someone who plays to go for the kill if you will has no interesting in helping the league players of tomorrow. May if you hit ranked the bot games available to you are limited to other people within the rank. I feel this would create better communication and in turn a happier more team orientated community

Im sorry I waffled on but I have felt that I needed to say my piece for a long time. If I got a reply to these ideas and in sites that would be amazing, I would love to hear what you think.

I understand how you portrayed the first point but i know that it is there now but when I joined league I hove to say rank people where mor willling to help now its more barking orders so they can acheive what they perceive as meta or e sport worthy I mean its a game games, especially online games need a community that can communicate and i feel that is lost because people have different levels of play that they want to acheive

So it looks like you had two main points (Correct me if I'm wrong):

  1. If you don't play meta people flip out
  2. Players in bot games should be restricted to playing with people near their ranking.

For the first point, this will always be true in most games because the meta is usually established around the strong strategies/champions. Playing something else is considered giving your team a handicap to start the game. The best way to combat that is just to mute everyone and prove them wrong. Trying to fight them or even argue your point will be a waste of time for the most part until you reach a higher ranking with it.

For the second point. I half agree. I makes sense that gold+ players shouldn't be put into a bot game with a new player, but at the same time I feel like it is done to help keep queue times down. Maybe they could improve the queue system to try and put players with their own ranked before expanding the search (as halo once did/does).
