Ridiculous

So i'm in my promos to silver and i was in champion select, it was my turn to ban a champion and so I tried to ban my champion but my internet cut out just as I was trying to and it kicked me out. As my internet comes back, I go to my Leagues and it was counted as a loss in my promos. It's so irritating just give me the penalty, not an actual loss. How can I be given a loss if I didn't even lose a game yet??? Can there be some kind of update to where if you dodge then you just get a longer penalty instead of an actual loss? Didn't even technically lose the game..
