Should RIOT really be in the game making business?

So it would appear that this season theyre making it much harder for you to progress through your rank than ever before. Despite constantly being placed in bronze every season even after winning a majority of my placements, i was able to at least climb the ranks and get close or into silver. This season however, they have put everyone on tilt and appear to just laugh about it. Bot lane in ranked this season is absolute garbage. I have yet to find a decent adc or support. Whether i duo or solo Q. The outcome is the same. My bot lane is just nowhere near as experienced or intelligent as they should be. Can we please set something up where they have to be mastery level 5 before playing a champ in ranked so they at least have experience and know how to play that champ. Its seriously starting to aggravate me and im getting tilted at this point. Please riot, for once, satisfy the community.

You should probably be focused on yourself. Just looking at your passed few games you have a lot to work on.

Several big picture things here.

The overall direction of Riot studios has changed since they sold to Tencent. The direction of the studio as far as I can figure is as such.

  1. Continue to release new champions.

  2. Continue to release new cosmetic content that costs RP.

  3. Maintain enviornment to provide an enjoyable experience (servers online and reduced latency on their end. To this point. If you are experiencing lag 80% of the time it isn't Riot anymore)

  4. Maintain player enviornment above community failure threshold. (Meaning banning and punishing cheaters and extremely toxic players. If they don't at least do the very minimum the game will be overrun and the community will collapse.)

  5. Continue to make changes to the game to keep things "feeling fresh"

  6. Make in game balance changes when needed as best as possible to try to keep the competitive game "fair" (relative)

This is a list of Riots objectives from the top. In order or priority. Though 1 & 2 could be swapped.

Are you sure you're not just bad?

Forcing mastery 5 is a little much because due to bans and picks you'd need at least 16 selectable champions to garuntee that you always can play a champion. That means you need at least that many at mastery 5 in order to not get banned out. That is a lot of commitment to get into ranked, I still haven't even gotten a mastery 5 champ yet due to my preference to variety over maining.
