Darius and the undying deadman

So i was playing teemo against darius top lane. Tried to use my w to outrun his q, bought boots first back. Darius builds phage and deadmans plate, then stacks health the entire game. He outruns me without boots, poke doesn't stick because his sustain is so high, his full build doesnt even have boots!

So with the undying mastery and ~5khp and passive armor penetration, darius can outrun, outsustain, and dish out tons of damage while going almost full tank. How do you even counter this?

well he bought 2 speed items so its only natural that hes fast

And those speed items give him a crap ton of other stats. Boots aren't that strong in stats. If he can reach the same or even higher speeds AND build items with higher stats, that is a little unbalanced.

well you can build the same items lol. are you a little bit disadvantaged?

there is also a ton of other items that can prevent him from reaching you. frozen mallet, gunblade, botrk etc.

The reason darius can build those items and get away with it is his passive armor pen and high sustain. This allows for high effective health and damage. Unless you suppress him with %hp skills (even then, the carries on the other team will kill you), he'll sustain through any damage and cc you throw at him with the undying mastery and q.

Maybe i'm at fault for playing ap teemo and not being able to build those items. However, Riven could build the same items too and win through skill, but she doesn't have the natural sustain like darius's q. In a teamfight, that sustain makes a difference.

what you are saying is that you want to be able to play any champion and build whatever you want completely disregarding the game and still be able to win. so yes, its 100% your fault.

I'm saying you shouldnt build tank as a dps. If my adc was building sunfires, i'd probably ff.

at no items at all, teemo does have lanecontrol over darius doesnt he? and at one item if you build frozen mallet, who has lanecontrol now? and then how many items can darius build after that?

Quinn item 3153 item 3033 item 3046 Quinn already gets, a massive MS boost for attacking Vulnerable targets, that coupled with PH's bonus MS helps to counteract the DMP's Slow.

Counter OP with OP, picking TahmKench top. Or just forfeit top and camp botlane so your ADC will carry you. Or zone him from minions with any ranged poke. And Darius with full hp build can't damage, he needs at least item 3071 , item 3748 or item 3053 to deal some damage. Just kite him so he can't get his 5 stacks on passive

Yeah he built all those items which is why he has that much hp. So lets say you dont have a vayne or tahm on your team. Even if you build liandrys or bortk, he'll out sustain you. Its hard to kite him when he has 415+ movespeed. So to item counter him, i should build items with slows?

He can't sustain if you dodge his Q, and your ADC should have more MS and his own mobility. As a Teemo, your only option is to deny his farm with Q and AAs(baiting his grab) while getting boots and probably item 3113 before his phage and DMP. And these 2 items have 0 mres so if you are as fed as him(or even more)-your spells and attacks will hurt him enough so he can't outfarm you. In teamfights place your mushrooms so they slow him(slows and other CC remove a bit of DMP stacks).

in teemos case? use your stupid shrooms. and i mean dont throw them when hes already in your face. place them strategically. a well played teemo is close to impossible to chase down like you described. and liandries deals with the health stacking.

good to see a teemo get stomped though. i hope it keeps discouraging people from picking that cancer up.

depends on the champ. vayne can literally build whatever the hell she wants, as long as she has a bork in her inventory. 70 ad steroid on her ult, 12% max health true damage on her w means no matter how she builds she will always deal damage.

darius isnt buying boots? item 3116 -or- item 3022 both of them will kill deadmans plates monus movespeed (remember it decays when you are slowed) and it slows him even more on top of it. They also both provide a decent amount of hp to keep you alive if he does manage to land a single E on you.

Literally Darius doesn't even have sustain unless he lands his Q, which as Teemo, you should have never let hit you. Ever. You are hella bad, that is all.
