@Stashu, @Meddler, @Morello, @Reds.. What are your plans for Cassiopeia?

It has been a very long time since we've heard anyone from Riot say something meaningful about the state of Cass. It is no secret that a large majority of Cass players hate the rework, specifically the stacking passive and the only focus being an AP machine gun, none of which fits her fantasy or historical playstyle.

Are you doing any work on Cassiopeia? Are you happy with the state she is in, despite the player base hating it? Even if the answers are not ones I want to hear, can you at least respond with a meaningful post to let us know your stance? It has been a void communication-wise about her since the rework was forced out despite the PBE rage, and hundreds long pages of threads after the rework release.

P.S. The Desperada skin update is a giant step back and personally I want a refund if you won't revert that skin. It was the first skin I ever bought and now it isn't even a deadly rattler but a generic snake without the details the old skin had.

They're not going to do anything.

They did the re-work, it wasn't great, but it didn't break her either. So she's going to stay as is for at least a season or two.

Welcome to Riot's world of arbitrary priorities, where "good enough" means move on.

We don't have the data for this. We know that's true on boards, but boards is a tiny slice of the community.

Cass is considerably more popular than she used to be, so I suspect more people like New Cass than Old Cass.

Gotta say, communication about Cass rework has been hella spotty. Sometimes we get a huge amount of red posts, sometimes we get months of zero info. Pretty frustrating.

They aren't going to do a damn thing. They bamboozled everybody with these shallow number buffs, and now she's viable, and that's all that matters, fuck fun in a video game. She's just a bore now with the stacks and the one useful attack that dictates everything else. But who cares about that, some pro nerd played her so she's the New hotness, gotta ride that fotm to challenger!

What those employees are going to do is laugh at the suckers who still respect this trash company through all their double standards, and playing favorites with balancing. They could care less, they're making money hand over fist with people pouring their wallets out so they can act like skrillex while playing a boring ass support. $30 for one skin? Damn, there's so many actual video games you could buy for half that price. Get some indie bundles with that money, those guys won't wipe their ass with it and continue to flop about with shitty balance, riot has definitely lost their way.

At this point I hope stashu rides again and decapitates another champ, maybe then people will wake up and see that riot is just phoning it in.

Sigh. I agree. But, what new players of new Cass don't realize, I think, is that if Riot just gave her the QoL buffs to her abilities they would have the capacity to play Old Cassi just like new Cassi. Her old twin fang had HIGHER base damage, in fact. (50/85/120/155/190 old, compared to 55/80/`105/130/155 new) and the whole reset mechanic was there to, and without snubbing the Cassi players who liked her poke with her poisons. (With the debuff new Twin Fangs has, compare it to old Q damage and there's not a big difference)

My whole grudge with the rework is that half of Cassi's fan base got a huge "piss off" for no reason since the rework just axed one playstyle without really enhancing the other besides getting a new, clunky passive. If they're not making one playstyle (which was already fun to some of her fans, me included at times, to be fair) better, than why did they have to completely just get rid of the other, you know? And, with making her focused on her E, it makes playing her very stiff and not very dynamic.

That and the fact Stashu just leaves for months on end, and since she's viable/op, no one will care that old Cassiopeia was fun/even more fun when all of her spells were crucial for success. :/

Oh, I have the Desperada skin too. I don't like the TU or the Chinese splash they used for it. They just took away all the details from the original model and... eh. Some texture updates are good, Cassi's was not one of them. :/

Forget historical and thematic, the fact that they overloaded/frontloaded twin fang hurts like a mother.
