Aurelion Sol - Cannot a champion be unique, Riot?
I am not going to bother typing about that he is worse, cause all knows it. I have seen some people who claim he is better now, but that is only due to that those players did not truly know how to play him before the rework. YES I have the confidence to say that, The mains knows better afterall, and if that is not enough, just take other's words for it. Like "Pro Guides". Before the rework they had placed him in A-tier but now they put him in C-tier.
There is actually one thing I want to mention how Aurelion has become worse, beside the obvious ones, before I make my most important point that I indeed hope riot somehow notices:
Now when his W is not a toggle, he is not able to zone as he used too. One of my greatest pleasures with Aurelion was that he was not just "i want to one-shot ppl" champion, I absolutely despise that sh*t. I don't find it enjoyable (no offence Rengar mains). With Aurelions old W you could be a supportive teammate. For example: In situations where you had a hyper-carry like Vayne, Kog Maw that you HAD TO KEEP ALIVE. Because face it, even if you are midlane, sometimes depending on team comps, other teammates has to carry. Now that feauture is gone. I do not hate the lowered Q cooldown, but more frequent Q:s wont help for the loss of the ability to zone with W. You would b able to zone/peel for your adc. Or let us say you start up a dragon fight, you could deny potentially engages with ur W.
Now to my main point...
What makes me, sorry to say, disappointed, is that champions unique ability isnt prioritized over pickrate. Atleast in my experience. It feels like riot has the need to see a certain number for every champion, otherwise they tell themselves that they have failed. I might be wrong but this is what I experiene. Because if this would not be the case, then why just not make a new champion instead of a rework? What is the actually harm that only 5000 players play that early roaming, slighlty weird playstyle champ? What is the harm? Maybe it is not wrong with the champion, but maybe there is because the 5000 players playing him simply enjoy the game differently? (only using the number 5000 for an example)
I were one of those 5000. Not anymore. And I have realised that I do not enjoy the game anymore. I am not asking for people to weep for me. What I am really curious about is this. Why can you not allow low pickrate? I like the odd, I like the unusual, the somewhat different things. Aurelion Sol is now "just another burst mage" but worse. Just because riot probably thought more players would pick him up.
Thank you.
