AFK/Leavers in game intervention system?
I lost a game today after having two of my teammates get disconnected right around the same time. Unfortunately it was my Riven who was carrying and our jungler who in this current preseason is invaluable. This got me thinking, Riot said they are working on the leaver buster which is excellent but why don’t we have a system that kicks in during the game? Dota has a system that activates during play. That being said I don’t want League to be Dota they are different for a reason, but that doesn't mean we can't take cues. Picture its around 1886 the approximate birth of the “modern” car. Cars unfortunately are causing all sorts of problems. The answer is traffic laws and hey another “country” has a great system in place but we don’t want to be like them cause blah blah blah. Do you just continue to let all these accidents happen? No of course not, you put a system in place. Not the same system as that other “country” perhaps but similar, its as simple as one system drives on the right hand side of the road the other system the left. It just seems like a quality of life change that needs to be made. especially when you consider that solo queue is basically a lottery. There are millions of active players and everybody has the same chances of getting a good or bad teammate as somebody else, but the difference between a bad teammate who at least wants to succeed and no teammate at all is insurmountable. So why is it then when you lose the lottery you are punished? You should be where you were before the lottery even happened maybe minus the cost of a ticket. I know it wouldn't be easy but league is a big kid now and were in the preseason lets bring our standard up to the bar our competitors are on.
