Malzahar Nerfed

After this recent update Malzahar in my opinion is almost impossible to play. Hes completely dependent on other lanes to kill and his ult is so bad with a horrible cooldown that its definitely a bad idea to play him now. I used to main him considering he was my favorite since i started and being the minority that actually knows how to play him, this is definitely a reason for me to stop playing this game now. I advise you to just remove him off leagues at this point

http://champion.gg/champion/Malzahar 55% winrate on average. randomly goes up to 62% after 100 games on him. Pick or ban in lcs. Yeah malzahar is unplayable, because he is permabanned because he instawins everygame.

Old Malzahar was underappreciated and people didn't want to take the time to learn how to play him properly.

They only thought of him as a portable suppression instead of a secret powerhouse.

Now new players and people who wouldn't have been able to play the old him have this passive shield now that will protect them from positioning mistakes. Makes them think they're good at New Malz...

Sorry bro, but the majority is against us

all the rework did was get rid of a unique champion. they removed his strengths and niches and excessivised his "psuedo support" playstyle.

I dont understand why hes pick or ban in the LCS - i never saw that. Hell in the imt vs nrg games malzahar was nothing spectacular. he couldnt do anything alone and his entire role was suppress priority targets. thats the problem with post rework malzahar, and ive made threads to that regard.

** He. is. not. lethal.**

Damage he does, but over the course of a game. the only way he has any lethality is when hes punishing an enemy who makes a massive mistake, as seen in said immortals vs energy game.

This is so true. They completely removed the mechanical skill involved in playing him, scrapped AD malz viability.

His skill floor was set way to close to his skill ceiling. However, they've effectively removed his passive now, i wouldn't be surprised if actually removing it hardly touched his win rate now (after the change, i know this post was 6 days ago).

Ironically after a couple of games, i've been playing better. Now that i don't play as overly aggressive, expecting my passive to save me. This is coming from a guy who has over 100k score between my accounts on the champion, from before the rework.

Though having that much experience on the old malzahar, actually gave me incite to something funny. Malzahar has always been able to block spells, when played skillfully. Because where his voidlings spawned depended on the direction you casted his spells, it meant that you could simply store a passive charge, and time a W or Q to block stuff like blitz hooks. (did this more times than i can count having played ADC malz)

Now it's stupid to block spells with his voidlings because they comprise so much of your power, and your spell shield works as an automatic one.

IMO his spellsheild is amazing tbh... Somthing like a 10 second CD late game? Malz is super strong.
