Early on damage is king, I'm a bad high gold player and still do full damage supports to carry with

Sona is super straight forward and arguably the best support in the game

Brand require slightly more work since you actually have to aim abilities but his base damage is absurd

Zyra is good choice as well since plants are weirdly tanky and auto target for you

Do not play stuff like taric or braum low elo, good chance no one on your team will take advantage of their godly team Fighting

Looks like bronze 4? Play hyper aggressive supports, teams are too random, you'll have a better impact by being hyper aggressive and more AP less support items.

  • Sona

  • Brand

  • Fiddlesticks

  • Sona is good at bursting squishies down and you should pick into team comps that have little inherent defense. (1 or less tank/bruisers, which is actually frequent there) Also, stack falt pen. Sorc shoes, partial morellonomicon.

  • Brand is great for devastating teamfights with his ult, you should pick him when your team has pick assassin(s) like Eve, it'll force the enemy to split up and die, or group and die to your ult. In addition, he's great at helping take major jungle objectives with his % damage. Take advantage of this. He pairs particularly well with Amumu due to his % damage and bonus allied magic damage passive. Once you both have spirit visage, you're online hard for fast barons, even with just 2 of you.

  • Fiddlesticks is a lot of poke damage without skillshots with E, and his fear makes him a super safe champ, as well as his ADC very safe. Later on the higher level fear duration if you catch an enemy even remotely out will get melted, you have to play near your most fed ally though.

For now I'd stick to those 3 until at least mid Silver, that's around where you can start playing legitimate support item/builds and have your allies start to actually utilize it.

I would go damage heavy for sure. You'll start to see situations where healing, shielding and buffing are needed as you go higher, but you shouldn't feel forced to play those.

My personal favorite is Zyra, but sona is perhaps an easier (and safer late game) choice.

Yep, Zyra is another one.

Lux is popular also, but I'd avoid her simply because she's too much of a crutch champion that wont do great at improving your skills, and her AP scaling is just really low.

She's one of those champs people get stuck with as a crutch and end up one tricking her, but she can't reach the level of play other champs can.

In fact, I find most Lux's I see are Lux 1 tricks, most others don't touch her much.
